Great news!!!! ok I am smiling again now

Hex your garden is heaven.
The one hour I was working this week and I get a phone call from school to say DS might have broken his wrist. Excuse me for my lack of sympathy but we were at A&E last week with a suspected broken ankle (it was sprained and bruised). So, three hours later he now has a sprained and bruised wrist to match. If he has anymore accidents he'll be one giant tubigrip. At least I wasn't with him when he did this one so no-one can blame me!!!
I'm not totally heartless - he's eating pizza, has a glass of coke (rare treat in this house) and has chocolate and ice cream for later!!).
DH put the cover back on sofa with difficulty as it's a tight fit but the difference in colour from the other one is totally scary. Even he was shocked!!

I want a garden like yours Hex. Feel free to come and work your magic on mine. I only have 1 small flowerbed. The rest is either raised vegetable beds or kids swings and trampolene. Still when they have left home I am determined to have a nice garden - only another 13 years or so to go.0

Great stuff pigpen!
tiamai I switched to southern via moneysupermarket via quidco IIRC I got £20 for that. Never been with eon so don't know sorry. Great news on the ebay sales
Dusty what a lovely thing for them to saydon't usually get nice comments like that from kids that age, maybe others go in expecting it to be difficult.
Polly ((hugs)) you know where we are when you need us x
Mudbath you need a season ticket for the hospital!! Hope he's feeling better soon and the treats do the trick.
Chasingbutterflies - does your summer one not fit in your WM at home? Mine does (kingsize but 5 tog or something)
**packs bags to move into hex's garden** that is wonderful!! WOW!!
nicki well done!!!!
soappie switch that phone off and enjoy
Decided to cut the grass instead of doing housework, rain forecast for the weekend when I looked last night so thought get it done now (I haven't done the front yet but I am now aching!) DSs swimming cancelled hence I am still here. I should have done the housework really as the place is a poo tip, but suppose I'd have only been annoyed when there was more grass on the floors.
Going out in a bit then back to do something with the poo tip! Have a good evening everyone. One day I might be more organised...........
GC: £200
Slinkies target 2018 - another 70lb off (half way to what the NHS says) so far 25lb0 -
Talking of switching utilites our bt had gone up to £46 a month...how, I don't know as we hardly use the thing. I kept meaning to change it but DH has just told me he's changed it to tiscali which is a little worrying as last time we were with them they were carp. Anyway, it's going to be £20 a month for the first three months and then £25 a month. This is supposed to include line rental, free national and local calls up to an hour (so we'd just ring off and ring again except i'm never on the phone for more than a few minutes) and free calls to USA (where my sister lives). We also get free tv for that. I'm not convinced but as we're being ripped off at the moment we need to change.

Mudbath, now you've done the arm cover and one sofa cover are you going to be brave and do the other? And I'm trusting (and hoping!) that the difference in the colour is simply because the ones you washed are now clean? And hugs to your DS.
Just popped next door to pick up my now dry washing - oh and had a companionable G&T too in her conservatory
She has a large, old, stone bird bath which she keeps filled with water, I don't have a bird bath, but I have all the bird feeders so we always say that the birds dine at mine and drink at hers. We had great fun watching the bully boy starlings this evening - they came swooping in, not feet away from us, bathed, bullied about, splashed about, drank and were a joy to watch. Such a wonderful waste of time and so relaxing...I am the leading lady in the movie of my life
