Morning everyone!
Thanks for all the birthday wishes the other day! Had a hectic few days so not had chance to post - think I've just about caught up.
A huge congratulations to Michelle & family - baby Sam is gorgeous (well he's bound to be - he shares my birthday!:rotfl: ) Seriously, hope he's settling in ok - its so lovely to have a new baby.
Joanne - glad Sarah doing well. Don't try to do too much - you're still healing and will be for a while. Well done on getting back into your jeans - I think it took me about 12 months my bum was far too big!
Here's the list for today:
Do whole of kitchen
Do whole of bedroom
Do whole of lounge
Didnt' think it was worth going into too much detail - the list would be faaar too long!
Oh, and most importantly I need to PACK FOR LONDON! We're going tomorrow lunchtime! I'm really excited but also a little sad to be leaving the children. They're staying with the IL's so I know they'll be fine but its the longest I've left them.
Right! I've got half an hour before my mum gets here to get some jobs done then I'm going running. 5 miles today - I've got the Manchester 10K a week on Sunday and won't be training at the weekend. Time to get moving!0 -

Woo! Just skipped back over the pages and found the photos you posted Michelle and Johanne
Those are two beautiful angelic little babes well done both of you!! And thanks for sharing. I wish you both speedy recoveries for the soreness etc. Will send Reiki and hopefully it will find you
I've had a busy week with classes tuesday and wednesday but thankfully I did a lot of the kitchen and living room on Bank Holiday Monday. I hadn't been to see the thread so unbeknownst to me the rest of you were resting! Not to worry, at least it is pretty clean and tidy downstairs
I'm just going to print out my updated lists and see what I can be getting on with. Got to get to grips with this house!IAAR/IAAMM/MFTMFAQ/IOA6BH0 -
I'm not going to be able to do much flying for a little while. I finally went to the doctors yesterday about my knee which is making an awful grating sound when I bend it. So now I've got to rest it, take diclofenac and go for an x-ray. Honestly my body is falling apart. I know I am 36 in a few weeks but I feel about 70.
So I am going to sit on the computer, out in the sun with my leg up all day.
Hope you all have a good day.0 -
Half the bedding in the machine.
HHI done *it is too hot* and I am so short I can't reach the handle to open the velux window :rotfl:
I am almost ready to go out 'cos I still haven't found any determination yet :rotfl:
ok another coffee - then find something safe to climb on - open other window and that should create a breeze through...
Luby - Have a great weekend - your little people will have a great time and will probably be spoilt rotten - so make the most of some grown-up time!
Davgirl - Take it easy - I hope they find out what the problem is and sort it for you.0 -
Morning all, only popping in so I can be accountable today and maybe actually get some housework done instead of just paper/money shuffling and playing agony aunt to a friend :rolleyes: (Can only chat to them about the problem online otherwise it costs a fortune in text messages - and we can't speak on the phone about it either!). I've tried studying this week but it's not happened so I'm going to tackle the housework today.
I have an interview for a Classroom Assistant course tomorrow. I doubt it's what I want to do (apparently its aimed at teaching KS1 kids), but I'm going to see if they do a teaching assistant one for secondary schools insteadIf not - plan B will have to commence, but no idea what Plan B is yet :rotfl::rotfl: Will come up with it tomorrow or over the weekend and speak to my New Deal advisor (I like getting fast tracked
) on Tuesday about it. Closest I've got to finding the job I'm looking for is a general technician in a school, great that its term-time only, the money isn't that great, but the biggest problem is its in Platt Bridge (Wigan) and I don't want to move to Wigan and commuting from here daily wouldn't be an option (leaving 6.45am to get the train to Wigan then the bus to get to work, then probably not getting in until 6pm as having to do the reverse- Sorry not an option, spending time with my daughter not to mention my studying comes first! ):rolleyes:
Right list for today : :- Dishes
- Cook Bcaon joint (find method for slow cooker here first...)
- De-flea DD & me :mad::mad:
- Bath DD
- Bath & pamper etc for me
- Polish boots for tomorrow
- Sort out clothing for tomorrow
- UPDATE CV & FIND CERTIFICATES TO PROVE EDUCATIONAL ACHIEVEMENT (just incase, might as well take them with me
)
- Washing - 2 down at least 3 to go (2 lots of king sized bedding though
)
- Meal plan (failed to do this over the weekend :rolleyes: )
Just the dailies.. if everyone else gets a day off so do we!! Now that was a shock for you all wasn't it?? lol.. Go enjoy your family/friends/lovely weather![/strike]

Internet on this morning, it keeps going off, stupid thing :mad:
Will catch up with all your news later. The weather is glorious today. Too nice to be cleaning out bedrooms, but it needs to be done, I keep tripping over stuff. I am fed up of having too much stuff. There is stuff everywhere.. it needs to go..

johanne great to hear your little one is doing well and you are not overdoing it
JillD yes that was last nights, pleased you had more positives
Grrr someone must have closed the fridge door yesterday and popped the freezer one open, loads of stuff at the front defrosted but thankfully mainly reduced bread etc, looks like sausage sandwiches for lunch as some of that defrosted aswell. Sorted through that then dragged the dogs out, had to take DS2 by car as DS1s taxi was late AGAIN! Have shredded piles of cardboard for recycling, put 2 washer loads in (and one out) so far. Post just arrived which includes DS1s replacement gamephew!
Oh better news MY NEW CARD HAS ARRIVED WAHOOOO!!!! Need a pin for it but YES YES YES I have a proper card again instead of a stupid electron card! Oh just opened my last assignment, passed59% which isn't as good as I'd like but a pass
at what was a rather stressful time. I am so tempted to open DPs (a one he did himself) to see if he's beaten me again
Now I am trying to get i touch with talktalk as I am sick of bills arriving here for someone who doesn't live here and a number that doesn't exist! Been on hold for ages ad already had 4 people try to sell me stuff, what part of 'I am not interested!' do they not understand.
Oh and I have LOADS to do today, must get the boys some of those suncream wipes to take to school aswell. MUST remember don't pick DS2 up until 3.45pm as he's at afterschool cluban extra 45 minutes to get things done.
One day I might be more organised...........
