I have just returned from 1 of these "meetings" and thought i'd best share it with the rest of you. I received the letter only a few days before I had to attend and right away panicked after reading it as I have never missed an appointment and diary is always up to date ( I am a single guy on normal job-seekers). After calling them up and not getting any real answers as to why i had to attend i just assumed it was to routine checkup "as it says on the letter to make sure i was on the right benefit". WRONG I wasn't even told at the interview why i was there she immediately hit me with questions and started writing a statement. I have basically to show them the past 3 months bank statements which is not a big deal as i have nothing to hide but my question is why me? I have been signing on for about a year but actively taken part in courses etc and been looking for work and genuinely kept my head down. I have read articles of people claiming to have been reported if this is the case then making you out like a criminal without having the decency to actually say to your face why you are there is totally wrong. If you don't have anything to hide you will be fine ( I HOPE !!).0
