Well still no baby. Our pram came today. It's so lovely and smells all new! Bit of a pain to put down/up but i'm sure all the practice will soon make us experts.
Today a low spend day:
- Milk 2 for £2 In Iceland as Tescos have stopped the offer!
- Mushrooms and tomatoes for fahitas later- washing powder from ALDI Got the Almat non bio lg for £3.36! Bargain!
- baby brush and comb set/baby nail scissors/clippers- wilkco £2 Just got the clippers and scissors for £1- out of spends money as the comb can wait!
- Room thermometer - mothercare? £4 We weren't keen on the mothercare one so might wait...
Think that's about it really. Got £30 for baby stuff but will have to transfer the money out of baby's account which I really don't want to do...
Checked online banking and Coral STILL haven't taken my payment which is annoying cause I can't cash it back out till they do! Also need to put a £5 bet on William hill to get my quidco cashback. Not sure cause I don't know enough about betting on sports to even guess really. I'd like to have a go at the matched betting but I just don't get it!!! At last the money is out of my account! Now I can transfer Corals back in and try to resolve William Hills problem...

Ok today we can pick out dehumidifier up! Wooo Hooo! I hope it works...
I also got some photos from photobox through- odered via quidco and only cost £1.50 p&p for 40 so bargain! Should get £5 cashback but hasn't tracked to put ticket in...Now 'pending'.
I can't decide whether to do a paydayloan via quidco to get the £70- I'm still nervous about doing lots then it not going through and being left short? Lots of people on the Quidco thread seem to be ok with it tho so I might have a look later. Got £153 in my Quidco now and Christmas is looking better by the minute!
We heard back from the MP the other day and now our 'case' has been given to a minister whi knows more about such things so fingers crossed we get a resolution before Nov. (When dh job finishes). It's a bit stressfull but I'm trying to ignore it... So as not to upset the baby! At least we have all our baby stuff now! We are getting another few bag fulls this weekend from friend of my Grandma, although we will ebay what we don't want as we've got TONS of stuff now! I see the midwife today so I can have a good old moan about my headaches and general grumbliness...
Right: On to money issues:::
- I've come to the decision that I am not going to keep my £100 buffer on my overdraft, it's too tempting to keep dipping into it for non-emergencies and I can always get it back if absolutely necessary later on. So when I get paid later toay or tomorrow, I am going to cancel it completely via internet banking. that way, I CAN'T use it for rubbish! That will just leaave my personal loan.
-Personal Loan: I am planning on paying off £450 at the end of this month and leaving 2 payments to go. 1st July and 1st August. That way it closes itself down without a large charge, although it extends my debt free date by a month, it's only 1 £78 payment and by the time it goes out we should actually have some 'house' savings in the bank from my Mat pay! Around £500 hopefully. Although i've got to call them today as they haven't told me how much i'm getting yet...2022 Comp total (prizes + free spins): £494.81 #20 £12 a day Jan: £382.95/£372 #57 360 1p challenge: £17.70 £10 a day Feb: £571.09/£280 March: £311.96/£3100 -
Well I spoke to them and mat allowance has a backlog of 8 weeks- from when they actually look at the claim! they've had it for 7 weeks and not looked at it yet?!!!
I have to call back at the beg. July yo see if my claim has been processed! Oh dear. Poor woman sounded really harrassed! BUT I need to know how much i'm going to get! It should be the maximum but I need to know for my budget!!! At least the arrears will be helpful as a lump sum! I put in my claim ages ago too....I was really good!

Dh doesn't really get the concept of resting. We got the dehumidifier and it seems to be working..scary amounts of water being gathered. It is a bit noisy but not as bad as I thought it'd be. However, we left it in the lounge last night and put it in the bedroom during the day so that hopefully will work ok.
Still waiting for the midwife to come over. I couldn't sleep at all last night. I was SO stressed about today. Oh dear. Not quite what she had in mind. I think because it's my first baby, I prob. worry more than most. Also it took us a long time to get pregnant so this baby is wanted so much.
Anyway, back to money saving. I got paid yesterday and have paid off my overdraft. I haven't cancelled it yet. But i will do that today. That means my bank account is in credit for the first time in about...I don't even know how long!!! I will not have an overdraft for the first time since 1996!!! How scary is that! It had become like an extension of my wages almost which I used all the time! Without fail! Scary! (Well the interest rate was anyway!!!)
Right off to cancel over draft and update sig!
