Thanks Lou, hae a fun time where ever it is you are going? I've got 3 weeks to go exactly till my due date! I saw the midwife yesterday and she said the baby is in optimum position and is 3/5ths! Very exciting! She also said he'd be an 8 pound baby probably! OMG! My Mum keeps telling me sotries about how no one in our family has ever got to their due date and no one has ever had a baby that big in our family...but that just irritates me hugely. She means well but hasn't realised she doesn't know everything yet!
I am hoping the baby is on time and I don't go overdue...but who knows. I'll keep you'll posted!

Thanks everyone! It feels great to be near the end of my debts..but a bit strange as well. I've been in debt for so many years, it becomes like a life style doesn't it! Anyway, hopefully at the end of the month we'll be sorted. I'll still be reg. on here tho to keep me on the straight and narrow!
Tell you what. i'm starving all the time at the mo! Baby likes cheese especially...
I'm going to do my meal plan for next month tonight with list and approx. prices- so dh can go buy it if the baby comes early! Also going to defrost the freezer this week I think. Let the nesting continue!
Thanks again for all the kind words of support..you've no idea what a massive help they are!

OK I'm very excited! DH has just been paid! And he got more than we thought! So tomorrow I can pay off all but 1 payment on my personal loan!!! I think i'm actually going to just pay it all off this month because I really want to be sorted out before the baby comes! I'm going to ask in the bank tomorrow how much is left after the payment for this month comes out and if it's not too much more than £498 (mu allocated debt repayment amount) I'm going to juggle and see if I can manage it! So exciting! Imagine..I could be debt free really really soon!
I truely can't believe it! Also dh won £170 on a fruit machine yesterday - not that I condone that sort of thing- but woo hoo! AND much more importantly he came home, gave it to me and asked me to put it in the savings! It got put in the bank today and I whisked it away into my savings in case he had a change of heart! I asked him what he wanted to put it towards and we agreed the holiday spending money/christening so that's a boost!
Today I wrote our meal plan. Now this month we've gone WELL OVER! So I split the food into 1. meals 2. monthly shop based on meals 3. weekly shop 4. bi-weekly shop. I added approx. totals together and it comes to exactly £85 which is our budget. This includes 8 pints of milk a week, bread, fruit, veg. etc. All really healthy. I have also recieved 2x8 packs of Activia vouchers for free!!!! Cool from Buzz. So they'll be an added bonus. yumyum.
I have also transferred the baby's 'allowance' into his account. We are allocating £30 pcm to start us off then if the baby needs anything it'll come out of this money.
The Christmas and gifts money of £21.58 has been transferred into it#'s account and tomorrow any spare money will be added to that pot. We should be able to add £10 we saved on electricity to that so that should mean we're over budget for Christmas OMG! How exciting! (Provided that the Quidco money all comes through of course!)
I'm feeling much more organised than I have been. I really hope I can keep it going when the baby comes. I'm quite enjoying being on top of our finances for once! I think dh thinks I'm a tad obsessed but at least things are getting paid off at LAST!
I really must go to BED now! It's half 2 in the morning and i've got to actually get up tomorrow as my friend is coming over.
Will update tomorrow with the debt repayment! yey!

Well done you!! It must be a great feeling and I am getting quite excited for you (how sad am I?) Don't answer that. My oh gets paid weekly and this week is a flat week so it is really depressing!! You are NOT sad. For ages i've been looking at other poeple's threads thinking I wish that was me! It's a motivator I think! I've got to get dh up and about before we can go pay stuff off....We are going to the bank at 3.30 so I'll post back later!
Thanks again for all the words of encouragement! I feel a bit shell shocked!
Well actually. My next project is savings. I am so sad! I've just set up an online birmingham midshires saver and have done a savings spread sheet so dh can go on adn see what we've got for what, where- if that makes sense!
His problem is that he sees we have it and instantly wants to go and spend it! Our mew aim is to save £4k by Christmas. We can throw debt repayment money into savings and my mat leave pay until end October so fingers crossed!
I'll update later!
Luc- you CAN do it you know. I realise it seems never ending sometimes but it isn't! Like you said..it's a flat week- but a huge amount of people are so much WORSE off! (I sound like my mother now, but it's true!) Just keep going! Next week might be a bouncy week...!

Thanks for those kind words. I know it will take time, as getting into debt didn't suddenly happen overnight. It is more of a marathon than a sprint. Good luck with the bank.
