Seagulls!! That will tell you who I support (although I think there are 2 clubs that use that nickname).
So a lower division than you support but I have been a fan for 35 years even though I no longer live that close to the ground. Still have a season ticket and go to home matches though.:DPRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I'd have to take out a second mortgage to be a Chelsea season ticket holder!

Hi there. I have also been looking for a holiday to book with clubcard vouchers and had settled ona pontins holiday. I booked, ordered the vouchers and then decided to check out some reviews on pontins. I have read SOOO much bad stuff on Pontins that I have now cancelled the holiday and tesco are going to refund my points to my card when i return the vouchers.
Don't be tempted by Pontins holidays without doing some research first.0 -
off to Bulgaria for 2 weeks all inclusive in just over 2 weeks time
2 adults and 2 kids plus upgraded room has cost us £220 plus the club card vouchers.
got £83 in points so far this quarter so planning the next break now.WWSD(what would Scooby Doo)0 -
We've had three trips to the States now with Virgin (2 to California and 1 to Florida), each time using Tesco vouchers to cut the cost with around £1k off each time.
We couldn't/wouldn't have afforded it without the clubcard scheme, so I love Tescos!!! Although it does mean we can't get Frequent Virgin 10% discount too, but, to be honest, I don't blame them for that.
Virgin have a price promise anyway so I'm never too worried about paying the full brochure price - but realise it can be an issue with operators like Cosmos. AND, I didn't realise the cut off date for 2008 hols with Cosmos has happened.....that sucks, as we were planning to book with vouchers for this year.
My top tip if booking hols with Tesco vouchers is to make sure you read the T&Cs small print - they may have changed it now but with Virgin we had to spend the first 7 nights of our hol in one location. We were tailor making a mini-tour anyway so just slightly adjusted our plans and it all worked out fine. Oh, and other top tip is to send vouchers off by recorded mail......treat them like cash, losing them in the post is not option!
Hope this helps.0 -
bar monkey, be careful in Bulgaria. We went skiing there 3 years ago (May be a different part) but there were lots of beggars and the landlords were out on the street trying to entice you in. Nothing to scare you about, but just noncholantly walk past and pretend you havent heard em or you won't get away for 10 minutes lol
Plus the food is usually served lukewarm so ask them to heat it until it is steaming for you.
have fun
Re Pontins, yes they're a bit grubby but ifyou have kids the entertainment for them is second to none compared with haven.
WE had 2 free hols there last year and they were greatI can be brown I can be blue I can be violet and sky. I can be hurtful I can be purple I can be anything you like..Gotta be green gotta be mean gotta be everything more...0 -
Yes, I've had three holidays at Butlins using only CC vouchers, and am going to be booking another shortly. It's the only thing I use the vouchers for, and it gets us about three 4 night breaks a year.
Top tip - if you're going to use on Butlins, DON'T go for standard accommodation - it's the pits!!!
I'm also new to Tesco vouchers and only have about £20 in deals so far, how do I change them into actual deals?
Asking as I am also off to Butlins in a couple of weeks and would love to save a little off next one, also could I book online and still use deal vouchers?
edit- ignore, found it- http://www.butlinsonline.co.uk/index.cfm?page=106360 -
Yep - booked a holiday to Florida in January through Virgin - all paid with vouchers - fantastic0

We are saving for a siblu holiday in spain next year. Think should have enough to cover brochure price, but I rang them last year (when started saving) and they said can get web price so hope that doesn't change. Was thinking of Butlins as son really wants to go but really not prepared to waste my vouchers on paying brochure price for there. If you have too many vouchers for holiday company does tesco let you send them back to recredit the points or can they be used on the ordinary days out?0
