I have just booked to go to Florida for a week at the end of May with Cosmos. We had to pay brochure price. but it was all free with clubcard vouchers.
went to Florida last November with Virgin, stayed at hard rock hotel for a week and a villa the second week. family of 4. all paid for with vouchers. we got it for the web price.
aiming to go to the dominion in august with my next lot of vouchersJust about to give up!0 -

If you want to go with Cosmos please see what happened to us - they said 'no more bookings are being accepted for 2008'!I can cook and sew, make flowers grow.0 -
As others said, dont use them in store. Dunno how people can use others tho cos the only send the deals to your clubcard address. How can people sell them on e bay? trouble with that practise is, things like that will make them withdraw the scheme and then we'll all lose out. people always have to be greedy
I have never sold on ebay but have bought - that means I could save all my own towards my hol (named) and use the bought ones for days out, Merlin passes etc (until now unnamed).
The seller converts them for you then sends you your choice of vouchers when they get them from Tesco.
Perhaps I'm naiive but I don't really see this as greedy or causing problems?

Thanks to everyone for replying. I did want to book a cosmos holiday for sept this year, but it looks like I have missed the cut off date and can only book for next year, I wish I had found out sooner.0

I just think that if say a big wig from tesco notices that people are selling tesco vouchers on e bay to be converted to deals or what have you, if the amount doing it becomes too great they could say all the t &cs are being breached here, our clubcard scheme is being abused, lets withdraw it. They did it with the R&R, they now only give 2 weeks to put clubcard points on cos people collect receipts to add (I do this myself, I have to say but a few points do not compare to the £400 odd pounds a year I save with deals)
Deals are such a great thing, I'd hate to see them withdrawn, but if people are selling them when it states that clubcard vouchers are not transferebale and are to be used only by the person they were issued to, then it is only a matter of time, sadly
. I have no problem with the morals or ethics; good luck to people, but I'd hate to lose the perks I enjoy through the deals scheme because of people abusing it. depends which holiday you're after and what time of year
You'd probably get a haven break in a bottom of the range caravan at a certain time of year for £50 - £55 worth, but a haven break in July in a top of the range would cost about £125 worth. A foreign holiday will cost more, but again vary according to time of yearI can be brown I can be blue I can be violet and sky. If you want to book with Haven then check the small print as some parks have opted out of the Tesco Clubcard schemeDeal Tokens cannot be used on holidays at the following Parks; Perran Sands, Riviere Sands, Burnham-on-Sea, Rockley Park or Far Grange. A real pain as we ordered the tokens for Riviere Sands and have been unable to use them!!Here are the terms and conditionsDeal Tokens are only valid on prevailing brochure prices and can be used in conjunction with either our ‘Book a Fortnight’ or ‘Book two Holiday Homes’ offers only and cannot be used with any other discounts, vouchers, special offers or promotions, late booking offers, online bookings, or Group bookings. Also a mobile home in the school summer holidays is around £750 upwards 0 -
that's for a week in a better one. you can get a break for round £400 to £500 We got 4 nights in half term in a four star for £270. Thats with all linen and passes. A 3 star would've been cheaper.
Thats ridiculous opting out of certain parks. We go to Blackpool each year cos we buy wristband vouchers for the fair with deals too, so get the break and a day at Pleasure beach for £100.
They change the t&cs a lot because when the deals firt came out the haven holiday had to cost a minimum of £500 before you could use deals.
Then they changed that and said it couldn't be used in conjunction with half price holidays. That was ok cos you could still have the special offer prices of 30% off and 40% off. But this year it has been changed so you have to pay full brochure price.
remember tho, deals DONT cover you for a cancellation plan so make sure they deduct that from your total. (ASk or they will automatically include it) That saves £22 off a week and £16 off a breakI can be brown I can be blue I can be violet and sky.
