I have one of these and as well as the other places already mentioned I have found that Holland & Barrett will not accept it (I mean in the shops, havnt tried on line)

I recently opened an account with Yorkshire Bank (Same as Clydesdale Bank) the account is called readycash and is thier equivalent of the Cashminder account - the real bonus is that it comes with a Maestro card (debit & ATM but not cheque guarantee) which makes life so much easier for buying on line etc.

I went into the branch with some ID and asked for the account - they did a check and confirmed that I was BR but discharged (as most are after 1 year) and the cards etc arrived in the post a few days later - On line banking is fine with YB although you cant pay in at the Post Office - I just use my cashminder to clear cheques paid in at the PO now and then transfer the money via on line banking

    Hope this helps
I saw Hulltrucker posted this recently and wondered if it is still available, as I thought I read somewhere that you could only get Barclays or Coop accounts with a debit card.

Hulltrucker is a discharged BR so this account is available to him.

I've just had mine replaced as my son has hidden mine somewhere and it is the usual lovely green colour.

Are you sure you have a cashminder account Darcy?

I would double check with them Darcy, sounds like one of their other accounts, as the cashminder definatly doesn't have a creditt limit. .
