I recently opened an account with Yorkshire Bank (Same as Clydesdale Bank) the account is called readycash and is thier equivalent of the Cashminder account - the real bonus is that it comes with a Maestro card (debit & ATM but not cheque guarantee) which makes life so much easier for buying on line etc.
I went into the branch with some ID and asked for the account - they did a check and confirmed that I was BR but discharged (as most are after 1 year) and the cards etc arrived in the post a few days later - On line banking is fine with YB although you cant pay in at the Post Office - I just use my cashminder to clear cheques paid in at the PO now and then transfer the money via on line banking
Hope this helps0 -

I saw Hulltrucker posted this recently and wondered if it is still available, as I thought I read somewhere that you could only get Barclays or Coop accounts with a debit card.
Hulltrucker is a discharged BR so this account is available to him.BSCno.87The only stupid question is an unasked oneLoving life as a Kernow Hippy0 -

I've just had mine replaced as my son has hidden mine somewhere and it is the usual lovely green colour.
Are you sure you have a cashminder account Darcy?BSCno.87The only stupid question is an unasked oneLoving life as a Kernow Hippy0 -

I would double check with them Darcy, sounds like one of their other accounts, as the cashminder definatly doesn't have a creditt limit. .BSCno.87The only stupid question is an unasked oneLoving life as a Kernow Hippy0
