    Hey Good evening guys,
I have had a COOP Cashminder account for over 2 years and have had NOT ONE problem with my card, Tesco, asda, bentalls, play.com, pc world, argos, sainsbury's, seetickets etc. Not once have I had my card or any transactions denied.
I am in a debt management plan and find this an easy way (I get paid weekly) to manage my money, I even pay the mortgage on a weekly standing order with the Coop.
It is worth looking into.I have even used my card in Menorca when we were on holiday there just under 2 years ago.
I used saynoto0870.com and got a 0161 as i get free calls from home on my mobile so I even get the telephone calls to them free saving even more money.

This may be a silly question but has anyone tired putting it in as just a normal 'Visa' on the drop down list when trying to shop at Tesco etc? Or do they just auto reject that also?

I know when places didn't used to accept my Solo card, I used to just select 'Maestro' and it always went through.

Travel Lodge/Inn or National Rail Network, but there is another company online that do train tickets

I have found that you can reserve a Travel Lodge or Premier Inn via an Electron card online, just select it as a Visa on the dropdown. When you turn up, they then say that they cannot accept Electron, that no problem, just give them the cash, along with some ID.
  • Really peed off. Have tried to use my Cashminder card to book tickets with Cineworld online and looks like their system is way out of date. Still not seeing the card as a Visa and still as Electron I guess.
