Just had a call from cattles (who wouldnt give her name)
She said quote "if anyone has had there accounts transfered by welcome to progressive finance thats wrong and illegal and we would like to hear about it"

so ring cattles and moan about it,as our hp contracts are with welcome not a 3rd party UNLESS they go into administration.

Been told this by trading standdards and oft)

Who WF or FOS? Had a letter from FOS; standard letter saying they have receive documentation and will relook ASAP but they have a back log.
Rang them asked how longer do I wait, reply I got was that they have had a lot of correspondence from WF customers!

I got a letter from the FOS yesterday saying they had received it but it may take a while due to the number of complaints they'd rec'd. No surprise really when you read all the horror stories on here regarding Welcome

Hi I have a secured loan with WF which I took out in 2006 for £15,000 the PPI they added and interest has made this in excess of £17,900 plus my balance never ever seems to be going down.

I changed my bank account in July last year and missed what I thought was one payment behind to find out it was actually 3 so I agreed to pay an extra £60 per month to clear the os arrears. I am now in a DMP and changed my account yet again since Thursday they have called my mobile 11 times in 3 days......26th - 10.56am, 6.48pm, 7.12pm / 28th aka a SATURDAY 10.02am, Monday 30th 11.47am, and today 11.20am, 1.04pm, 2.58pm, 4.51pm, 6.54pm and 7.30pm I had spoken with the girl on Thursday now my dd is actually due on the 1st ie tomorrow however,they said if I dont pay my arrears of this month??????? I will be 4 months in arrears and will be liable to pay the full amount - I have no idea where they think I am going to get that kind of money from anyway..... I explained I had changed banks and had not received my cards yet and obviously I could not pay over the telephone as I didnt know the card no exp date and security no and they were adamant I HAD to pay this now or become further in arrears I work 9 - 5 and have to switch my phone off for the amount of times they call me its unbelievable I have been harrassed at home and at work I am not very happy that they keep calling me at work and luckily I dont give out my work no I have managed to get to the RBS and take the money out I need to pay them and apparently there is a branch near me I can pay this into so fingers crossed it will go in 2m and they will stop hounding me - am seriously thinking of writing a letter to them complaining about the constant hassle. Also claiming back the PPI however I do everything the wrong way round lol went thru the FSO first before even knowing about this site so they came back to me then WF wrote to me asking to complete a form as to why I think they have mis-sold me the PPI? God they told me it was unsecured for a start then I find out after I signed and the money was in my bank it was secured and also I had negative equity in my house so how on earth could they give me a loan?

They are beyond belief? So tomorrow I will be taking the money and paying it into their branch and hope that will maybe stop them phoning me!

God I for one will be so glad if they go to the wire as I certainly wont be losing any sleep over it. I mean they better not have charged me for all these !!!!!!! phone calls or believe me I will make heads roll

Hi, got another letter from FOS dated 24th March saying complaints against Wf are with adjudicator, but could take couple of months.
4 complaints I have gone for:- kicking my gate in, threatening in the dark when my husband is disabled, not replying to the letters written by myself and trading standards after 71 days or acknowledging the have received postal orders and saying it was unsecured then saying it was secured.
Noted 'SKINTMUMOFONE' has had same problems. DONT let them get away with anything and dont appease them. hHave them for harrasment.
moneysupermarket.com had some information on credit agreements and wf.

Hi all well today I paid my payment in cash to their office near my home phoned them to confirm this and they did confirm it was paid and I even got a receipt.......fast forward.....phone call from hubby saying we had received a letter from WF saying that our dd had been cancelled we needed to pay the payment immediately and we would be getting charged £20 for this letter I told the woman on Thursday that we would be paying it in cash also it wasnt due til 1st ie today......am so angry also hubby said the total loan amouint due is now £19,878 an odd pence - how the f.......:mad: can the sum be that when we took out a loan of £15k and have been paying it for nearly 3 years and the initial balance was £17,000?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated before I loose the plit and phone them and give them dogs abuse.....:mad: :mad:

Don't you think it's a little childish to take so much joy in potentially a few thousand more people losing their jobs? Amongst the idiots you are obviously dealing with, there is a scattering of decent, honest and hardworking employes still within the company - just doing what they do to pay their bills.
Don't take out the mistakes of the men at the top on everyone else. It simply isn't fair.

On the other side of things, Welcome Car Finance have stopped buying cars to sell an no-one seems to know what will happen when they run out...

you mean the same people working there making themselves a fortune in bonuses for miss selling the PPI to every customer? then denying all knowledge and refusing to reply to letters lieing on phone calls and showing a total disregard for anything brought to there attention?

I'm not denying that it happened, I'm just saying that its a little bit wrong to wish ill on everyone there. Most of the staff are just doing what they're told. In fact, we're as much in the dark as everyone else. If you want to blame someone, blame the fat cats.

Put yourself in those shoes who have really had a hard time from these people and maybe you could empathise with the less fortunate should I say.ME INCLUDED.
It may take a few to make the these "wrongs" but I haven't seen the 'goodies' do anything to put matters right. HAVE YOU?

Why should we feel sorry for them now?
