redmerlot - print the form off - thats what I did. No need to go down to a cinema to get one. By the way has anyone got their card? Just wondering how long it takes to arrive. I'm desperate to get out to see some films. Top of my list is Finding Neverland and also The Grudge.Me transmitte sursum, caledoni0

This is great he is now a happy man.0 -
Just wondering if anyone has got their card yet? I'm probably being very impatient, as I only sent off the form a week ago!Me transmitte sursum, caledoni0

You have to have the National Disabled Persons Railcard to qualify.
Londoners please note: the Disabled Person's Freedom Pass is not valid.
A real shame as the freedom pass gives us Zones 1-6 including rail links so unless you go out of london often (and I don't) the National Railcard is not really worthwhile
???
By the way, people have mentioned "Registered Disabled" yet I have been told that after the last disabilities act, there isn't such a thing as being "registered Disabled" any longer. Is this true? If not, how does one go about registering as disabled?
Many thanks

A couple of points here. My wife receives DLA at the higher rate. My daughter decided they should visit the cinema, I told them to take my wife's "disabled" parking card and ask if there was a concession. The carer was admitted free. If this is so, why pay £5 for a card ?.
Second point, I was originally classed as disable and was given a "green card", this is not so any longer, I still have the same if not more conditions, but as the previous poster said, in this case disability is no more.
YET, my wife IS disabled. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Redmerlot,
I'm confused - you said earlier that you DID get DLA then in your last post you said you didn't. I'm not being funny, I just don't understand?
I don't get the railcard, but do get DLA (the higher rate) and have sent off the form with a copy of my DLA entitlement. It didn't say anything about a railcard. Hope I still get it.Me transmitte sursum, caledoni0 -
