Wow! I think I have managed to catch up from the weekend.
Hugs and positive thoughts for all that need them :grouphug:- and congratulations to those with good news
We had a night away in Liverpool this weekend as I had a hen party to got to. We spent £6.40 in morrisons, £8.49 in asda, £22.65 in a meal out whilst in Liverpool abd £7.50:eek: on breakfast on the way home. I have decided this is to all come out of the GC - I have included the meal out on Sat as part of the hen do, or the drinks - I had budgeted separately for that. Oh, and 70p for a small bag of rice from local shop - I though I had a big bag put away somewhere but couldn't find it when I came to cook tea yesterday.
My total GC spend this weekend was £45.75 - I'm off to update sig.0 -
It's too hot here to cook again !!
Any ideas for using up a savoy cabbage (the crinkly one) and an aubergine and loads of mushrooms also 3 swedes and a bag of green peppers(don't like the green ones raw
Have turned carrots and leeks into carrot soup
And grated some carrots for salad for dinner tonight and cooked some new pots to turn into potato salad
thould be a nsd form as staying home all day and [strike]gardening[/strike] weeding
bread is baking, gammon in the oven for tonights salad before it gets any hotter in the kitchen*****

I have now reached week 3 and have just returned from shopping. I stocked up a little on some meat for next month as our Lidl has 40% off starting today (although some stuff had already run out at 10am!) but have included it in this months budget. I am hoping to stay a bit ahead like this so that each month I can take advantage of any good deals - although these seem much thinner on the ground at the moment.
Spend so far £74.01 out of a budget of £180. Should have enough for most (hopefully all) of the week, so might stock up on the meat some more!!!0 -
Just a quick hello....
Managed to spend nothing over the weekend (but did do a shop on Friday) and still have plenty of fresh stuff to see me through to the weekend.
I have a bit of a dilemma - Tesco sent me a £10 off voucher today (when you spend £50) that expires on May 18th.
I don'tneed tons of stuff but wonder whether I should do a big stock-up shop to use the voucher?
I could budget £20 from this month amnd £20 from next month for a total of a £40 spend?
What do you think?
Good offer or a waste of money?0
