Estate Agency Closures
Comments

Our agent's Bath office has just closed its doors and the company is retrenching to its original Wiltshire base. Shame, they're genuine guys who've worked hard for us, though they admit that selling in the Georgian City used to be a doddle. Not any more.
!
May i ask which agent?0 -

Another one bites the dust.
Prestige property services of Leytonstone London has closed down.
We used to let from them, and I would say there isnt/ wasnt a great deal prestigious about them:beer: Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -
What i want to know is where they will all go to with all those huge qualifications they have.............oooppps they don't need anyIt is nice to see the value of your house going up'' Why ?
Unless you are planning to sell up and not live anywhere, I can;t see the advantage.
If you are planning to upsize the new house will cost more.
If you are planning to downsize your new house will cost more than it should
If you are trying to buy your first house its almost impossible.0 -
And another!
Kinleigh Folkard Hayward - for all you londoners out there has closed its Knightsbridge branch!
tough times at the top, evidently. Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.

We wanted to make an appointment to view the house. Called yesterday at just after 4pm to be greated by recorded message that said they are open from 12 till 4pm on Saturday and Sunday. Ok, we though, we will call today.
We went for a walk around the area and there was another phone on the board - another branch. Today 12:30 we called. Both branches had the same message saying that office is closed now and their opening hours for Sunday are 12 to 4pm.
Two weeks ago we got a follow-up call from them on Sunday, so figured out they must have got something wrong with their phone system and we will go for a walk in town and drop in. The office was closed! (not closed, down as they had all the properties in the window etc), but not open for business today, although according to the opening times in the window they should have. We went around, look at other estate agents and two (!!!) of them had the EA's in question office for rent!!!!!! For £15k per annum. So, I think they are closing down at least that branch...Spring into Spring 2015 - 0.7/12lb0 -

It is in North WEst - Regan & Hallworth. I am don't know if they are closing down completely or just 'downsizing', but that office that we went to see yesterday was definitelly for rent!Spring into Spring 2015 - 0.7/12lb0
