Thanks EAMB :j Im dead excited.
Yeah im a council tenant. basically i created an enclosure on my balcony so my cats didnt kamakaze off the side chasing a bird! :rotfl: My brother did it for me, and nailed some battens into a part of the asphalt (not the best thing to do, but as my boss said, no-way could it be attributable for the flooding of downstairs). They said that the tiny nail holes in the asphalt over the edge of the balcony were the cause of the leak downstairs (towards the back left hand edge of the balcony!). Loads of work was apparantly carried out and thats why i have got the bill. Dont worry, im fighting it, good job i work for Building Surveyors as well.

Well after a stressful morning I have just had an email to say I have won a cinema ticket from Diet Coke! :j Dead chuffed, only need one more!

Stressful morning - finding out I have a CCJ from 4 years ago, teh court papers were sent to an old addressed, nothing has been forwarded to me
Its a debt for £175 (whcih thankfully isnt a massive amount), and im going to try and appeal for the CCJ to be removed as I have reasonable grounds (i wasnt occupier of the property where the papers were sent so therefore could not defend myself). Fingers crossed they do remove it otherwise getting the house next year will not be an option.
I am also sending a letter to the debt collectors in the hope they will accept a full and final settlement... you never know!
Anyway, enough of my moaning, hope everyone is having a good day.

Great news about the cinema ticket, but no good about the CCJ. Surely you should be able to get something done about it if you never knew about it - not so sure about the rules over here but that just doesn't seem fair! Good luck with that! I'll keep my fingers crossed for you!!

:hello: Squealy!
Awww thats so nice to hear. Well i have had a couple of down days, but feeling a bit better today (not least because of an article I have read about house prices etc. going down next year - possible good news for me!).
Right, lets see where i got up to...
Ok re: the CCJ. I paid off the debt on Friday (£159) and will have to leave the CCJ on my file for the next 2 years, however it is only 2 years. National Debtline said it probably wouldnt be worth me fighting to get it removed as it was down to me to let the debt people know i moved house. After feeling upset about this i called the Housing Association and they said they would still take me on, but I would have to prove I could get a mortgage.
So fingers crossed I can get one next year (it will help that the Housing Association will be giving me 1/2 the cost of the house to act as a deposit and its the only bit of "bad" stuff on my credit file).
I got a response re: a Full and FInal settlement offer to a debt collector, they have gone down to 75% of the debt value, but im sending another letter today reitterating the 30% i can afford. You never know!
Im not doing as well on the ebay sales this month, however i have earnt £3 today slicethepie.com from work, so thats all good.

What an exciting lunch hour I had.
Firstly i went to O2 to choose a new handset to upgrade to (i feel like i deserve a treat, my old phone has been chewed by one of my cats as well so best to get one now before it dies!), and have been told it will be delivered to my work address within 2 working days! :j
Then i had an email that I have won another Diet Coke cinema ticket, which is fab news and now means i have 2 for me and my sister to go on my birthday!
And just as i was chatting to a work colleague about my engagement ring on ebay and how this is the third time i have listed it and im hoping for it to sell, it sold! Right then and there for the buy it now price of £100. :j Im so chuffed. They paid straight away so its all good.
Looks like it may be looking up this week after all :rotfl:Debt: just my mortgage
