Sorry mbe :rotfl: camera advice was meant for flikkerty however I would suggest Mum takes camera in with her I really wish I had. Though I love dd to bits it was like having a baby grafted to my arm for the first couple of months so even just coming round and holding baby for half an hour would be really appreciated. Don't forget to take chocolate with you. And I agree with Destiny33 you should be renamed mge! :A"We have to be kind because everyone is fighting a great, great battle" - Sir Richard Attenborough

Sorry if this had already been said - I haven't read every post.
Having had three c sections, my advice would be to accept all pain relief offered. I was 'very brave' with my first and 'brave' with my second, but realised I was being daft by the time I had number three. I took everything offered and found it much easier.
Also, I found a couple of drops of lavender in a bath was not just relaxing but helped to sooth the incision when it got a little inflamed.
Definitely, big pants are the way to go, as previous posters have said! Nothing worse than elastic digging in your scar.
Think this has been said too - a pillow on my lap when feeding or holding little one in the early days really helped me.
Best wishes, I hope all goes well for you

I had an emergency CS but have had two other babies either side by normal process. Have to say that although you have discomfort you dont have all the grot after the birth and that was such a relief.(I mean the blood loss etc that seems interminable).
I was on a ward for all CS mums and I was the only one who did not have a bed that went up and down - I had to use a footstool to get on and off bed with/without baby!! I also did not have clamps - I was stitched internally. I have to say that out of four mums I became the most mobile the quickest whether it was the clamps or the hopping up and down but try to move as much as you possibly can.
Also BIG KNICKERS!! Whatever happens put the bikini briefs etc in the back of the drawer and get some M&S specials. They will sit above your scar and will not cause any irritation to it. My scar still hates really teeny briefs and my CS was 16 years ago!
No bending and as little lifting as poss apart from baby of course. Lots of sleep and rest in between feeds and nappies. If you breastfeed the drawing pains will soon subside but may hurt for the first few days.
Most of all - Talk about the CS as much as you can to try and get over the tearfulness of it all but love that baby - they grow so quick.0
