Sincere thanks for your kind words - they really are appreciated. I am out of hiding (sort of), although not in a good place at the moment. I have an appointment tomorrow with the specialist about my back, and I am scared spitless. But hey, all to be faced right!

Will do an update when I've caught up with everyone.

Well the Dr has recommended spinal injections under sedation, and told me that I need to lose weight in case of surgery. Am just reeling a bit to be honest, so hiding out for a bit longer....

Sorry to point out the obvious but that sounds really painful!! You poor thing!
How scary do doctors put things across sometimes!

Try not to worry about it all (:rolleyes: I know, easier said than done!) just try to concentrate on being positive, although I know it's really hard.

I really feel for you, hope things turn out ok.

Oh merry sorry to hear that. If you are talking about epidurals(sp) they are very effective if not a little uncomfortable,if thats any comfort.D

Hi Merry, are the injections to freeze the nerve endings that are causing the pain? If so Mr P had them at Christmas, as soon as he'd had them he was completely pain free, it was a bit uncomfortable at the time but worked wonders.

Yeah, although he did warn me that 40% of people fin no relief with it but I am determined to be in the 60%. Have also been considering the weight loss aspect of things, so Merry is back and fighting!! :j:j
