    You timed it .

Nah, the phone shows on it's display the length of your last call!! :p

Ok, so to start with she let me know they had received both the fax about the bank accounts, and my request for vehicle exemption. She is speaking to the Co-op this afternoon to confirm which accounts they have no interest in, and give us access to the funds that we need/ensure all direct debits are honoured. We definitely have to close the original joint account, but once they receive this fax then they should let us open the new joint account with little problems.

With regard to the money going from my new current account, she says it could be the Co-op sending the OR the funds thinking it was now theirs. Obviously, since it was opened post-BR it's mine, so the OR will send me a cheque for that.

I do have to go into my old bank to get my child benefit money, but the fax was sent on 4th July so there should be no problems with me getting that.

So tomorrow H needs to call the Co-op to get the 'new' joint account activated again, and we need to sort out the dds all over again. I need to speak to the Co-op about my account cos they should never have frozen it.

    Onto the normal OR intervew...

Went through my SOA page by page. To be honest, she had most of the answers and it was me agreeing or clarifying so for example, Littlewoods is a catalogue not a credit card, that sort of thing.

She was clear in what she wanted, and I made sure I didn't waffle (too much :o) We also laughed a couple of times - she could hear Lil Merry being a butterfly in the background (think wooden floors and elephantine kid's feet and you can imagine the noise ) and she said it sounded like she was having fun :j:j

She explained that they would be doing a nil tax thingy on me, and what it meant. She also said they would be examining mine and H's I&E to see if there would be an IPA but this would be pro-rata'd 70/30 and obviously not include my child benefit or child maintenance. If we hear nothing, to assume that we're not getting one.

Automatic discharge after a year, although depending on how busy the office was there might be the chance of early discharge. It's not her decision about the car, but she will get back to me as soon as possible becacuse obviously I want to know what's going on there.

It was relatively painless, she was totally non judgemental, and went a lot faster than I realised. So, yes I survived, and I will sleep well tonight!! Thank you all for the positive vibes you have been sending me - they really worked

H is upstairs with a headache, so tis just me and lil Merry to 'celebrate' before the school run in 27 minutes

Ah! I forgot about the timer on the phone.

Well all sounds pretty straight forward, just the waiting game for the car and the IPA.

Glad you survived it in one piece.

    All the best.

    Evening Merry,

Glad to hear it went well. Try & get some relaxation now....calm down the stress levels & start to focus on the future.

Your diary is a fascinating read & just shows that this BR stuff is so tough & as much emotional as about the financial side. It is a great reference piece & I will re-read it through one day.(all 42 pages of it!!!...so far)

Fingers crossed for you & the car.

BTW did the OR say if she will contact your LL? ...just wondered if that is normal practice.
