just done my budget for May. With my salary and AQA money, I'll have exactly enough for the bills, the food I had delivered today and that's it! All gone!!

OH's contribution food wise comes on Wednesday. i'll do a reccy of the freezer etc and hope there is enough for 2 weeks worth.

There's around £60 to come from Quidco over the next few days so that will cover petrol and a bit more food.

It's better than last month's income though!!

Is that with or without tax?

that's good then, at least you have enough.
i haven't dared do my 1st ever budget, to be honest i am waiting to see if dh wages go into my bank on wednesday, not all of them obviously, he has arranged for a 'split' wage where his pay office puts x amount into my bank every payday and out of that i have to do food shop kids bus/dinner money etc etc and anything else eg car tax he will pay for, suits me and takes the pressure of me too

half with, half without. Office job is taxed (I took home £524 this month) and NI'd but AQA isn' - other than my £2.30 per week Class what ever it is NI. (I will have earned around £550 by the end of the month depending on how the next 2 days go)

That's the stumbling block at the moment - I really need to find an extra £150 or so a month to be able to cover tax for AQA - well for last year's earnings I do and then a bit on top for this year, but that is probably around an extra 20 hours work a month and I'm already working every day. I guess I'll just have to work harder!

oh, for the days of earning 28k again............sigh.........
