oy..........jacs - I could go off you - walk to walk - my hair would look madder than normal!!!

The photo in my avatar is me aged 9 or 10. It was my most favourite dress - ever!!

My nanna bought it for me (the one who is in hospital) and my Mum found the photo in her bureau in her house when she was clearing out her stuff when she was admitted.

My mum scanned it for me. the place that took the photo was a shop that did photos, I've a few of them from when I was a kid -they always did nice photos. I even won a photographic competition when I was 4 - I looked a right tomboy in comparison to the kids with the curls and ribbons!!!

Ooooh, I've got another I could use from when I was 12. I'll put that up in a bit ;) Totally different look!!!!!!!!!!! It's very Ashes to Ashes!!!!

aaaaaaaaaw, you can't really see it. Here's the original - complete with make up!!! Blimey - if I'd have been a few years older, I'd have been sooooo into the new romantic stuff - even more than when I was 12!!!!!!!

You look like one of the girls in the Human League in that pic:D I was the most gawky looking child ever. In my teens I had the full layered and backcombed perm with the points cut in around my ears (can you remember having points cut in) I would use insett hairspray while using my braun independent curling tongs (on a perm)! How I didnt go up in a blue flash I still dont know.
But these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.

    oh, god, me too!!!

Every morning when I was 14/15and my hair was longer than in the photo, I got up, used my hot brush (also a braun independent) to curl back the front and curl under the back. I then sprayed it until it was solid!! I had many disastrous 'Deidre' perms during my teenage years, not helped by Deidre-esque glasses until I got contact lenses at 16. I had my hair cut short when I was 16 and had the points on the sides - like really long sideburns that were gelled onto the face!!

At age 15 I once had my hair permed and highlighted (we called it tipped) on the same day........I looked like Freddie bloody Boswell:rotfl: But the Braun independents and insett could tame a haystack:rotfl:

I was never allowed to have my hair coloured for some weird reason - permed to high heaven - yes. Sprayed until it snapped - yes. Coloured - no.

I was desparate to have 'streak's when I was 14.

Remember Sun-In??? For that 'just back off the holiday blonde look'???? I am glad my Mum never let me use that looking back!! It gave a lovely orange-blonde look!!!

Blimey - Sun-in is still produced!!!!!
