I was never into doing my hair
    I was a tomboy
    I didnt care!

Having said the above I dont think I knew what a hair brush was until I fell in love with Simon le Bon, I had to make myself beautiful for him though didnt I? After all I was going to marry him one day:D
But these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.

I was never allowed to have my hair coloured for some weird reason - permed to high heaven - yes. Sprayed until it snapped - yes. Coloured - no.

I was desparate to have 'streak's when I was 14.

Remember Sun-In??? For that 'just back off the holiday blonde look'???? I am glad my Mum never let me use that looking back!!

Oh My God, Sun In:rotfl: And did you ever try the first fake tanning products.

I was more Boy George, Human League etc than Duran Duran. Where I went to school, the girls who lived on the big estate were either Duran Duran or Spandau Ballet (and the divisions were clearly drawn - mostly on the pavement!) and the girls who came from the middle school a bus ride away (like me) were more into Boy George etc. Weird how it worked really.

Yes........I went very, very ,very orange one weekend in 1984 with a bottle of VERY expensive Johnson and Johnson fake tan that was supposed to be the dog's wotsits of fake tanning. It was a waste of £15 - a huge amount back then! Saying that - it's a lot these days to pay to be able to impersonate a satsuma.......

I count my blessings to this day I stopped at my legs..........

  • I love human league and duran duran. I am also a David Bowie fan, and have spent weekend re watching Ashes to Ashes and driving the kids mad with the immortal phrases...
OO we have the original of that song, copies aren't as good, and the classic..
They don't make music like that any more..I particularly enjoy nicking the remote off the kids and putting the 80's channel on MTV.
Golden moments, looks on kids faces..priceless.
By the way keren, i reckon i had the exact same shirt as you.
