Hugs Raphael
Well, I've done bits and pieces of flying today in between working and tescoing. It's nearly gin-o'clock- will go off to nice neighbours in the next half hour for a gossip. We're going on holiday together to Worcestershire in two weeks time - we've rented a twee old two bedroom cottage - so we need to sit down with pen and paper and write lists of who will take what. I also need to find time this weekend to dig through the relevant family history papers - the prupose of the holiday is for me to traipse the graveyards and record offices whilst NiceN reads books, chills out and minds the dog for me.
Tomorrow morning I'm off to the auction house - there are two lots I will probably bid on - one's a large box of ephemera (buyer collects) and the other's a large quantity of postcards. I will, of course, inspect them first before bidding.
Ooh, forgot to add, I'm hoping there won't be that many other bidders there tomorrow as it's bank hol weekendI am the leading lady in the movie of my life

Don't say your just gonna watch you Ebay selling :rotfl:
Tell me your gonna wear your new jeans out....and have a
I would - if I could find someone to go out with! Resorted to asking my oldest 2 friends who I haven't seen since DD was born, only saying I resorted as they're both blokes and I felt a bit funny asking them to come out for a pint :rotfl::rotfl:
My new boots arrived today, and are currently sitting in the sorting office waiting for me to collect them tomorrow  Typical that they came while I was out at the job center. Tonight I need to dig out my cheque book - the straighteners I bought on ebay need to be paid by cheque as the sellers Paypal isn't working. Its in one of my folders...I know that:o
DD has just finished book 6 of the Harry Potter series - she started it on the 4th April
Ex is here ... :wave:Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -
hey all just poppin on to say thanks for all the messages... not been online all week as been poorly and stuck in bed/sofa!
Sorry if TMI but my episiotomy stiches come out on monday night and they werent supposed to!! Leaving an open wound..they wont restitch and now i have an infection and am on mega antibiotics and paracetamol and unable to sit down without a cushion! So on house arrest and major resting till at least next week. Its killing me as i cant do much at all even with little sarah
Mum and OH are having to help out loads.
But i have managed to pop on here now by sitting on a HUGE cushion on the chair as just wanted to say hello and thank everyone... xxx0 -
Hugs Johanne - I can quite literally feel your pain as that happened to me and now i'm sat here with my legs crossed and a strange look on my face. Very gentle hugs to you.
Pink fairy - make him work, work and more work.
Raphael - hugs especially to your mum.
Slight result today. The main problem in DD's class was made to work in the heads office today. His dad had to go and see the head at hometime. A child was also sent out of DS's class and made to work in a junior class room with a teacher who is very scary. So, one small step towards a better school. Here's hoping xx0 -
Well DD has gone..... so I'm child free until Monday and have nothing planned
Looks like a couple of quiet nights in for me.

Evening ladies!
I'm almost too tired to type, got loads to say but can't be faffed now lol *yawn*
quickie version:
worked 6 hrs today
hung washing out and it dried
hoovered kitchen floor
phoned Eon with no results
changed master bed
made cottage pie/veg
tidied pc room
saved up £84 this week :T
other odds and sods, oh and I also managed to earn an extra £70 this week to pay for this months council tax which I'd forgotten/not budgeted for, so my savings would have been much more if not for that.
need food/bath and bed now
laters x0 -
Message for Johanne,
what you need to sit on is a valley cushion (specially designed for problems like yours; it enables you to sit comfortably) - most local NCT branches have one and hire them out or you can see if your local health visitors/midwives know where you can borrow one from.
check www.nct.org.uk to find your nearest NCT branches and click on their pages to see if they have one

MoamAlthough no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending.... life is a WIP.

Johanne big squishy hugs for you, doesn't sound nice at all honey, hope you are feeling better soon x
Wooop woop well done soappie! Where do you find out where auctions are on at? I've only ever been to car ones and one that sold wood ?
bargainbird, as has already been said, things can only get better!!!
Pink Fairy well, you'll get to moan that he's under your feet now like I do when DP is here :rotfl: pigpen is being too nice, clean the loo with his toothbrush
pigpen, kids without statements no longer 'need to have' a yearly review which is annoying, but bug them for one anyway! Great idea doing the positive letter, then it keeps them sweet for when you need something aswell, copy the letter in to the LEA aswell
raph ((hugs)) for you, your Mam and her poor kitty xx poor little one needing such a major op
nicki if you're not going to pigpens, going out or doing anything you can come and look after my 2 if you like then I'll go out for you
Well I didn't get the back lawn done because just after I typed my message it tipped it down, typical! Oh well at least the front looks ok so the neighbours won't moan/offer to lend us their mower. As rain stopped garden play I spent the day scrubbing the downstairs floors as they were disgusting, then it's turned out nice again, really nice, so I am a little narked but can't be bothered to do it now as my back is aching from doing the floors. DS1s done his x country run thing, inter special schools, he actually said he liked it!!! Shocked is an understatment! DS2s head teacher came out to say he'll be seen by the Ed Psych in June they're going to see him, then do some transition work with him, he's going to get extra visits to the school etc to help him cope which is great, I didn't even need to nag!
Have arranged for one of DS2s friends to come next Friday after school, DPs at work from 5 ish so won't matter to have another being here, it's been strange not having oodles of kids in the house/garden since we moved, but is much nicer being able to invite them when it's ok for us instead of them just piling in as I am about to go out. They seem to get on really well, both dog daft so hopefully will go ok, will be the first friend over for tea since he started the new school and hopefully help his Mam out saving her trying to arrange someone to collect him from school, I really feel for those who work FT and have to organise childcare all the time, I know they see the benefits from it with the nice cars, house, fancy holidays etc but it does sometimes make me feel guilty for not working.
Ok, left to do tonight, hmmmm, meal plan still isn't finished so that needs doing, suppose I could make a start on the back lawn (I just threw the lawnmower in the shed when it rained and didn't even clean it) might stop me dozing off....see if I can find DSs ear plugs first or it'll be a no can do
One day I might be more organised...........
GC: £200
