Poor Pigpen - hope you sleep well tonight

Soappie - well done! Can I have lessons?

BB - rubbish week. Things can only get better. Still not had chance to try plug change on my vac. If that doesn't work, it'll have to be a new one.

    Now, anyone want a laugh?

OH called to remind me that he needs to leave house by 6.15 tonight. I said I'd have dinner ready, but did that mean he was away whole weekend again? He said he was and reminded me that I had said it was OK for him to be away alternate weekends. (That was when I got really annoyed having found he's booked himself away for the next 8)

He then said that I only had to say the word and he'd give up cadets. I said I'd complained for years about the amount of time he spent away with other folks kids while I was home, then I hung up! I was really upset, and felt miserable all morning, especially as there is a BBQ on Monday pm and he'll expect us all to go and play Happy Families with his cadet buddies. I text him and said my life wouldn't be worth living if I asked him to give up cadets as he's such a grouch if he misses anything, and he grudges doing anything for home and family. I said he was just watching while the house got more messy and I struggled to fit everything in around working full time, including loads of extra at home. (BTW - I'm synchronising at the moment, so can't do anything with my work laptop ATM)

Anyway, he phoned a little while ago to say "You'll have the doubtful pleasure of my company all weekend after all." Apparently one of the female officers has had to cancel and as they have so many female cadets, they can't go without her. I told him I'd have a long list of jobs ready for him and he just said "I'm sure you will." Would I gloat? No, but it's the nearest I'll get to him apologising, so :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I have just got a copy of DS2's IEP.. and on it it says 'next review April 2008' ... hhhmmmm... Guess who I'm ringing on Tuesday!!! I will suggest they wait until we have spoken to the OT before reviewing it as she may have some bits to add.

I also want to write an email to school saying how well he has settled in and how much he is enjoying it there etc.. they don't get positive feedback very often I doubt!

Found out what bad thing number 3 was today, my mum rang & her dog has been taken into vets as they think the dog has cancer! They are going to cut it out & do a biopsy at a cost of around £1000!

*sighs* Well thats my 3 out the way, my turn for some good stuff I think

  • Well done soappie!!!

Just back in with the kids...

Lunch went ok - it was actually quite pleasant which is a huge relief. We have so much going on right now I couldn't handle dealing with another strop.

Anyway - need to take kids to see MIL & FIL when DH gets back.

He has promised to be helpful tonight :rotfl: The only problem is he burned his hand last night - it was really bad  although the cold water then egg white method worked quite well I am not sure if he will be up to it! Best go take some iboprufen for my shoulder too  I don't know what I did

I feel overwhelmed already - better go kids are having "a discussion"!!!

eta : I have managed to sort out a larger waste bin - since I am sick of having to take all the recycling miles to an allocated point. Kerbside collection is only available in urban areas - I can see no good reason why they cannot send the truck out here...

I also emailed washing line people to see what is wrong with my line... rotary dryer - clicks into postiton and then as soon as you get half a load on it collapses!! DH found a temporary measure of sticking a screwdriver through the centre bit worked but I would like to be able to put it up and down!

oh and I put a couple of washings on... ok I have a lot of making up to do later!
