I think a lot of the problem is the anti bullying policies that seem to be in place these days. We had problems with MD when she was at primary school for 2 and half years!! The schools here, probably the same everywhere, have this no blame policy. Whereby they "talk" about their problems and the bully is as much as a victim as there target. Its the softly softly approach which quite frankly I think is a load of carp and doesn't work. I am not saying bring back rulers and canes because that is not the answer but I think they need to move the process towards exclusion along a lot darn quicker if you ask me.

    Morning all,

Good on ya Sharon :T bout time someone showed these little thugs whats what.

Well I finished work at 6, I've taken poochie for her walk, done the dishes, had some breakfast (poached eggs on toast yummy) and stuck a white wash on. Nets are in there too!
Just waiting on the builder now, he should be here 8.30-9.00 scratch that, he just turned up! :D He reckons he'll be about 4 hours, quicker if he can, cos I will jump into bed as soon as he goes.
Feeling a little fed up with the mess in the kitchen now, all the stuff from the bathroom has been chucked in there. It might as well stay there for the rest of the week as landlord won't be able to paint the bathroom until the plaster is properly dry, about 3 days.
I am soooo tired c015.gif I just want my bed! No flying for me today.

How awful Sharon, really hope you get this sorted and quickly. Personally i hate the 'softly, softly' approach, all it means is the bully gets off scotfree with a 'dont do it again'. I'm terrified LO is going to be a target for bullies when she goes to school because she is 'different'.

Sharon - you give them what for girl! :T:T:T

Just been looking on the job center website out of curiosity and there are NO jobs for teaching assistants around here unless you want to be a "dinner lady" Oh joy!

I'm biting the bullet this morning and going to George to go and buy some new jeans (3 pairs I think I best get - one on, one in the wash, one spare but all different!) - I put this pair on this morning and my alarm on my mobile went off so I stopped that instead of fastening my belt and my jeans fell down :o Good job I get dressed with the bedroom door shut :rotfl:

Right, time for the school run, back via George, then I will do these two bundles of DD's clothing for ebay. By then I should have enough time to do some jobs before having to pick her up or my Asda shop coming as last time they were nearly an hour early :rotfl::rotfl:

    Morning all

Hugs to Michelle - I hope there's some progress for you today.

Soappie - I wish I was close enough as I have my Mum's slow cooker sitting doing nothing.

Sharon - I hope the police do take appropriate action as this behaviour needs clamping down on nationwide. And I hope your DD is OK as she must have been very frightened. But, just to put the other side of the coin........ My DS was in school 2 weeks ago when a boy in his year started taunting some of the girls. My DS told him to back off (one of them was his GF) but the boy came at him saying "What're you going to do about it?" He lunged at DS who put his hand up to stop him and caught his throat leaving some scratches. The other boy said he was going to get the police. DS came home and told me about this and said that he had written a statement and given it to the Year Head. We heard nothing until last Friday when I was working from home and a police woman turned up on the doorstep asking for DD (who was in school ). She said that because a complaint had been made, it had to be actioned, but as far as she was concerned, the matter was over and done with. She did say she understood that the boy was some years younger than DS and I agreed he would be 2 years younger as DS is repeating 2 years because he is registered disabled, which seemed to put a different perspective on things. Anyway, I text DS to stay well clear of this boy and shortly after that I had a call from the Year Head. DS had been to tell her about the visit. She confirmed that the other boy did have some scratches on his neck, but nothing serious, she was surprised that the police had been as they had not contacted the school to see what had happened. Apparently the Head had wanted DS excluded at lunchtimes for 2 weeks but as he's only in school for lunch on Fridays the Year Head said she wouldn't do it as it's been a big step for DS getting into school at all. I also told her that one of the other boy's friends had been threatening DS in class and she was going to look into it. Also both boys had been sending abusive messages to the girls via Bebo so these were printed off and taken to the Year Head. Anyway, at the end of all this, although my DS only did what he did to defend some friends of his, he is the one whose name is now "known" to the police!

DD (who is 23 BTW) is still not well enough to go back to work today, so has just called her boss and then gone back to bed.

DD (17) slept most of the day yesterday, had a slightly high temp, very sick, but got up at about 9.00 pm, managed some crackers and a drink, had a bath and went back to bed to watch a DVD. He has slept a bit during the night but is still feeling rough, so may not be up to school.

I'm about to turn on my work phone and laptop to start work and see what else is in store for me, having already checked several potential jobs elsewhere!
