Is £35 a good price for GHD straighteners?
ETA - forget that, just bought them after looking at other ones that have sold for £70+ !!!!!!!Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -
Not a bad idea. Does laminating cost very much? I could do that myself.
Don't know how much it would cost but I've just bought myself a laminator for £12.99 and sheets for £2.50 in Wilkinsons. I can use it for work stuff as well.DMP mutual support thread No: 433 - Mortgage - £54,556, Credit cards - £4012, Unsecured loan - £3,376, Other - £419

Just a quickie...
Someone was asking about hoovers...
Just got an email from argos and there is a £50 gift card if you buy a dyson over £150. You have to go to store to collect though with the printable voucher - it can't be used on home delivery. voucher here >>> http://www.argos.co.uk/static/StaticDisplay/includeName/dysongiftvouchers.htm
btw I love my dyson - I know other have had problems but mine have all been great (I have had 3) 1st one I passed on to mum - not that she would know what to do with it
2nd was a cylinder as it was small to store - I ebayed that one when we moved 'cos I prefer and had space to store an upright.
ok gtg0 -
Evening all
:hello: to any newbies
:hugs: to any poorlies.
Pigpen - please may I be excused this week? It's been rubbish so far. Still not had chance to fix plug on Dyson; DD is doing OK, but still weary after GA on Monday (and sore); then she went to the dentist today as her teeth were hurting and he pulled a wisdom tooth straight away ; she came home and slept for the rest of the afternoon; DD has not even been able to get out of bed all day, as he's feeling so weak again, is coughing violently and feeling really sick - just when we were hoping he was on the up again (it's been 7 years now); and to cap it all, my colleague, who is also (usually) a really good friend, had a real go at me on the phone this morning about something that really wasn't my fault, and I ended up hanging up on her as I was just about to go and start teaching and was feeling really upset by her.
I'm sick of them changing the guidelines for the job. In 7 months, we've had a 36 week schedule, an 18 week with 2 key skills, an 18 week with 4 key skills at Level 1, an 18 week with 4 key skills - 2 at Level 1 and 2 at Level 2, and running alongside that a 22 week schedule with 2 key skills at Level 1 - and that's just for those doing NVQ2. We've not even started on the Level 3 programme. The resources I requested on Friday for today's session hadn't arrived, so I couldn't do all the targets for the session either. I am definitely looking for another job in earnest now as my stress levels are through the roof at the moment and my IBS is starting to flare up after years with no problems. Anyway, DD has now decided she would like me to help dye her hair then I'm off for a bath and an early night. Oh and DS has just managed to come downstairs as he is feeling hungry now.
BTW - any baby news yet?DMP mutual support thread No: 433 - Mortgage - £54,556, Credit cards - £4012, Unsecured loan - £3,376, Other - £419

Hugs to everyone who is not feeling well and hi to newbies.
Well apart from doing shopping at Mr T and cleaning the hamsters and fish out I have done no flying. Very bad I know but my excuse is that I am looking after 3 plus my 2 kids tomorrow because school is closed for voting. The weather forecast is dreadful so they are going to be inside making a mess. So I will start again on Friday.
Have a good day tomorrow - probably won't get chance to pop in till the evening.0 -
 I have just broken my slow cooker
:mad:I took out the porcelain inner and walked across the kitchen with it:mad:
 I didn't realise the plug was still in the outside bit:mad:
 I felt something resist, I pulled, the whole outer thing fell on the floor and is now creacked and not sealed:mad:
 I do not feel it is safe enough to plug in in the morning and stay there unflaming whilst I'm at work:mad:
I am having a bad evening ...I am the leading lady in the movie of my life

Pink hugest hugs to you, I hope tomorrow brings a better day.
My finger (with the coldsores) is so sore it is hurting to type. I have had another barney with DS1 about lack of revision and am now giving up - it is stressing me too much.
DS2 finally got home at 7:30 from a school athletics thing so I had to start cooking all over - poor child was so tired and hungry - he is now in the bath. DS3 is in bed.
Going to see if I can sew with my sore hand and watch the apprentice. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0
