Then set yourself a new lower target for next month. Its all about getting your spends down to a level that is comfortable and affordable for you. No-one on the thread will judge you for what you spend. Everyone has different targets and circumstances. I like to follow the thread as i get loads of good ideas from it, but you could just lurk if you wanted

Thanks you loads gunsandbanjos - I really appreciate it! I will save all of my receipts for May and go from there. I really need to curb the spending so hopefully I will be able to tell where I'm going wrong! xxOfficial DFW Member 716 - Proud to be dealing with my debts0 -

Just a quick one though - I posted a new thread for help but only one answer so if anyone can help - Can I freeze strawberries and then just pop them straight in my Pimms when the weather gets nicer? How would I go about doing it? THANKS!

Try www.spendingdiary.com to record spending, you can seperate catagory types (second row) so you can then obtain reports at the end of the month, week, even day with all pretty pie charts.
Sorry not got chance to read through them all at the minute, I'm just about to set off to drop the assignment off, pleased I checked the website as the tutors moved house! I would have ended up dropping it off in the wrong place.
Back later for a catch up and much needed self indulgent gossip! ((hugs)) for everyone. One day I might be more organised...........
GC: £200

Actually I might just catch a couple of hours sleep before hand.
What's on the agenda for tomorrow boss?
Right, I'm off for a 'power nap', smell ya later.

If you remove the hulls, you can open freeze (pop them on a tray) and then bag up once fully frozen. Once needed defrost for a couple of hours. I have never done this with strawberries (I know it works with raspberries) I think I read somewhere that due to the water content they might be a loss of texture?
Although I just checked my freezing bible and it says that the above method is ok.
Might be worth trying with a few to see how it goes?0 -
Ashbart, sit them on the stalk end on a flat tray then freeze so they keep a nice shape and don't stick together.
Once frozen you can layer them in a tub inbetween bits of cling film. The key is to not let them touch each other.
Make sure they are nice and ripe first.0 -
