    Good morning everyone!

Up bright and early here, enjoying a cup of coffee in peace! dd3's party at lunchtime, if she plays about with those flippin party bags much more I shall scream, might hide them before she wakes up lol!

Will be doing some garden stuff later, hopefully the new herb bed, that was the lavender bed under the front window - should smell lovely as it wafts through the house in the summer - ever the optimist I'm dreaming of sunshine!

Bit cloudy here at the mo, but I'm sure it'll get hot and sunny, cos my hayfever is in full swing - pretty reliable sign normally! Atchoo!

Meant to be going out for dinner tonight, but suspect that it'll end up as a home made takeaway, me and the girls will be worn out from the party and gardening, well I will anyway, and oh and ds are off to watch the Villa Brighton match, so will prob be late back!

Have a lovely day all x

ps - just seen on "news" that they're going to remake Blakes 7 - I loved that programme!

    Morning :hello:

We went for a walk down the Stroudwater canal yesterday, we were hoping to see the otters at the sanctuary but they were all hiding rolleyes.gif There's a man near the canal who makes baskets from his own coppiced trees - fascinating stuff.

Baz hasn't had her babies yet - poor thing is huge and she even struggles to waddle lol.

I need more income. I can't get a normal job because I need flexibilty - working on our income ideas and getting them in motion will go out of the window if I'm tied to time. Then there's the garden, I spend a lot of time out there with my fruit and veg lol. And the animals, I just couldn't leave them stuck in hutches for hours every day and when I start my boarding biz I'll need to be here full time. Card sales are up, the biz is finally taking off rather than ticking along. I'm getting about £40 per month from clicks and surveys, and £160 per month from my admin job (which I do at home on remote access, it's only 5 hours per week). I have a few new ideas for selling handmade items, bags and belts etc. I think I'm at that 'in between' stage - where you have to put up with a few lean months while it all comes together

    Morning all!

Busy day yesterday as I was in London on a course. The food served was delish as usual, I love going to that venue. also managed to get to the Japan Centre and picked up a Bento box, yay.

Walking into town today as I sold a book on Amazon, so that needs to be mailed off, plus I need to buy a couple of birthday cards as I'm awful with making cards for men!

Right now I'm sorting out the food shopping so I can get it delivered on Friday evening-got a busy week ahead so if I don't sort it now, it'll not be done and we'll end up buying rubbish and going over budget-did that this month, not good!

When I get back from town I'll try out the WiiFit-was too tired yesterday but am really looking forward to it! I've lost half a stone since Christmas so am hoping to lose another half by my birthday.

OHs birthday tomorrow-I was going to take him to GBK for lunch but he's not so keen, but I'm hoping that somewhere else will take his fancy!

    Have a lovely Saturday!

    Good morning everyone,

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY MR AND MRS SHEZ

    :hello: mrs mix
    :hello: Taplady

:grouphug: and :hello: to anyone who wants/needs one xx

Racy - i also love the tales of the riverbank, its lovely hearing about them all!!

Have been busy the last few days, and today is no exception. DS is going to the Plymouth Argyle match, where his school are providing the before, during and after entertainment - their junk band!! DD didnt want to go (years 5 and 6 were invited) so we are going girly shopping, its her birthday tomorrow (my baby is going to be 10!! seems like yesterday, where is the time going!!) I have bought her some gifts for tomorrow, but decided to let her have some money so she can pick some things herself so we are both looking forward to it.
Hopefully will be picking DS up about 5 - 5.15 and i know he will have had a great time (unless the might Argyle arnt being so mighty!) so hopefully a good day for us all.
Nothing much else planned - the bedding is in the wash, as i think today is the only nice day for a while, so will be good to get it all done today. Need to crack on with my clicks, but think i might have some breakie first.
Lunch is sausages in HM rolls, and dinner will be jacket potatoes.

Hope everyone has a lovely day,
    Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

good morning everyone. dd2 has been up a lot last night with a bad cough and is coughing and wheezing now. a quiet day for us i think. dd1 has dance class from 10 am so we may be very naughty and drive to it so dd2 can stay in the car. mind you, maybe a walk would do her good.

this afternoon mr gin is taking the girls to asda while i mop the kitchen floor with no help. i am halfway through making veggie soup for lunch using up all the odds and ends of stuff in the fridge. WM has been emptied and filled again, nappies are on the airer as it looks like rain here.

HM pizza for dinner here. girls get to chose their toppings and surprisingly pick things like peppers.

hugs to all who need them, and thanks for the riverbank tales, cheered up my morning.

    Good morning everyone

Racy nice to see you posting here again. I think you have set the subject and tone for the thread today - wildlife. :D (Here's my contribution - the ducks on the pond next to my office have had a little brood and its touching to see all the drivers stop to let them cross the road. It's a *very* busy road but there are never any ducking-related accidents. :j They scuttle across and less than 5 minutes later they scuttle back again. I have no idea what they do at the other side but they do it every day. )

    Shez Happy anniversary.
kyle enjoy the exercise bike. I would lost without mine.
johanne congratulations on the birth of your LO.
tru you have certainly given lots of thought on how to produce extra income. Hope it all comes together for you.

Up early as XDH is taking DS for a haircut and he always wants to be first in the queue. So, while he is there I will take a couple of bin bags full of clothes to the charity shop. After that, I'm going to sort out the stuff for the attic and DS can put it up there for me while DD is at her swimming party this afternoon. I want to get some stuff down from the attic too as I know its getting crammed and if I haven't used the stuff, I obviously don't need it so it can go to a charity shop or the recycling centre.

    Have a super Saturday. xx

  • Morning all.... :)

Sounds like many people are having very tranquil, "countryside" days full of little animals & blue sky.... sounds lovely, very peaceful & restful. I'm sure you're all being very busy too though!

    Good morning,

I think we'll be having another quiet day here. I'm going to make some fairy cakes with ds, and do a bit of gentle tidying up.

The "Tales from the Riverbank" look fascinating. I'm hoping that I have time to read more later. We live near the sea, and our birds are more like "teenagers hanging round off licences" than anything relaxing to watch. They're the sort of birds where you look over your shoulder if you walk down the road with an ice cream.....

(((Hugs))) to Smoky and family, and to anyone else having a bad day.

    Take care all of you

  • Proper update re "the date" now... lol

I had met him for coffee last week, so it wasn't a first meeting - and yes, he looked like his pic, lol....!!!! (Not sure if I did...) Yes, I had let people know where I was going - and had been lectured by all uni mates re assorted "precautions" earlier in the day, lol!!!! My face was still bright red from embarrassment by the time I went out I think....

We had a drink & chatted for an hour or so, then bowled, then went for a drive. Got home around midnight, was so tired by then having been awake since 5.30am, lol.
