Hi everyone! Well trainers arrived this morning so not too hacked off about it being monday instead of saturday like seller said.......noticed that the postage cost him £4.31 - he charged £9.99 ....is that a bit excessive?? Just wondering what others think TBH so please dont all the ebay sellers come on strong lol - just for the record he didnt use fancy packagin, just a few pieces of plain thin paper (like standard a4 copying paper taped together lol) so his packaging wasnt ££££££. Anyhoo - i am still pretty sure i am going to "Neural" him...i know some people think its harsh but tbh i am very understanding of most things but rudeness (ie him ignoring all my very polite messages!!!!) i think is awful - especially if someone wants people to trust him as a new seller!!!
Baldrick, does it have to be this way? Our valued friendship ending with me cutting you up into strips and telling the prince that you walked over a very sharp cattle grid in an extremely heavy hat?0 -
Was the item sent Royal Mail Special Delivery (TM) Next Day Service?
If not (which I doubt by the price of the postage), then you have not received what you paid for and should quite rightly ask for recompense."Now to trolling as a concept. .... Personally, I've always found it a little sad that people choose to spend such a large proportion of their lives in this way but they do, and we have to deal with it." - MSE Forum Manager 6th July 20100 -
£4.31 is not a special delivery price. £4.30 is 1st class price for up to 1.25kg.
i would email him first and ask for the difference back between the cost of 1st class and special delivery which if item was 1.25kg will be £4 as special delivery would have been £8.25 on that weight.0 -
uh oh - i hate writing stuff like that - "you overcharged me" etc etc.....!!!! Can someone tell me what to say and how to word it etc - i dont wanna get his back up if i can help it!!!!! lol

Also - how do i know if it was SD or just 1st class?? it just says "1pk royal mail postage paid uk (24/4/08 so he obviously sent it when he said he did lol) £4.30 CT9 (???) and then a couple of rows of numbers!!!!! Help!!!!!!!! (sorry i am a panicker lol)
(oh and ooops it was £4.30 not £4.31 lol)
Oh and if i moan about POSTAGE he cant tell me to send the trainers Back can he (Boyf is gonna wear them later on pmsl!!!!) - isnt it only if the item is damaged or something up with ITEM that seller will ask for it back???Baldrick, does it have to be this way? 1PK means first class packet
you paid £9.99 for special delivery and they came by first class so you can complain about them being sent by the wrong service
special delivery would have cost £8.25, 1st class cost £4.300 -
Seriously Brooker Dave - what on earth is your problem?!?!!?! I paid for a particular service and DIDN'T receive said service.......surely i have a right to be compensated???
As i have said a million times if seller had said 9.99 for 1st class i would have paid it certainly but he specified next day delivery and i paid for that - he then chose to send using a less expensive service therefore costing me over double what he paid!!!!
I'm sure he probably still made a tidy profit on the item he was selling!
I am guessing that you spend more time selling than you do buying Brooker Dave lol......as said before just hope this doesnt happen to YOU lol as i am sure you'd have a different attitude! Thanks to all other posters with helpful advice ....... just because you dont agree Brooker Dave, doesnt mean you have to take a nasty attitude to anyone who has a different opinion to you!!!!
Lets all be 'ickle fwends again :rolleyes:Baldrick, does it have to be this way? Our valued friendship ending with me cutting you up into strips and telling the prince that you walked over a very sharp cattle grid in an extremely heavy hat?0 -
