Hi everyone! Well trainers arrived this morning so not too hacked off about it being monday instead of saturday like seller said.......noticed that the postage cost him £4.31 - he charged £9.99 ....is that a bit excessive?? Just wondering what others think TBH so please dont all the ebay sellers come on strong lol - just for the record he didnt use fancy packagin, just a few pieces of plain thin paper (like standard a4 copying paper taped together lol) so his packaging wasnt ££££££. Anyhoo - i am still pretty sure i am going to "Neural" him...i know some people think its harsh but tbh i am very understanding of most things but rudeness (ie him ignoring all my very polite messages!!!!) i think is awful - especially if someone wants people to trust him as a new seller!!!

Was the item sent Royal Mail Special Delivery (TM) Next Day Service?

If not (which I doubt by the price of the postage), then you have not received what you paid for and should quite rightly ask for recompense.

£4.31 is not a special delivery price. £4.30 is 1st class price for up to 1.25kg.

i would email him first and ask for the difference back between the cost of 1st class and special delivery which if item was 1.25kg will be £4 as special delivery would have been £8.25 on that weight.

    1PK means first class packet

you paid £9.99 for special delivery and they came by first class so you can complain about them being sent by the wrong service

special delivery would have cost £8.25, 1st class cost £4.30
  • Seriously Brooker Dave - what on earth is your problem?!?!!?! I paid for a particular service and DIDN'T receive said service.......surely i have a right to be compensated???

As i have said a million times if seller had said 9.99 for 1st class i would have paid it certainly but he specified next day delivery and i paid for that - he then chose to send using a less expensive service therefore costing me over double what he paid!!!!
I'm sure he probably still made a tidy profit on the item he was selling!
I am guessing that you spend more time selling than you do buying Brooker Dave lol......as said before just hope this doesnt happen to YOU lol as i am sure you'd have a different attitude! Thanks to all other posters with helpful advice ....... just because you dont agree Brooker Dave, doesnt mean you have to take a nasty attitude to anyone who has a different opinion to you!!!!

Lets all be 'ickle fwends again
