Are there any penalties once you accept this deal to move away to another supplier (in the unlikely event prices go down) or is it just standard 28 day notice period?

I can't get on to the Scottish Power website at all. Anyone else having this problem? Just the same if I go through Quidco.

No problem direct: http://www.scottishpower.co.uk (Though you don't earn cashback).

However going via QuidCo or other affiliates that go through: www.theenergypeople.com their server is down.
It's PAC not PAC Code, it's MAC not MAC Code, it's PIN not PIN Number, it's ATM not ATM Machine, it's LCD not LCD Display, it's DVD not DVD disc... It's no one not noone, It's a lot not alot, It's got not gotten... Panini is the plural of panino - there is no S!!
(OK my English isn't great, the sciences, maths & IT are my strong points!)

Thanks for that. Methinks I'll wait till the Quidco link's running again.

Were currently on scottishpower, but according to current kwh gas usage i would save around 250 pounds on gas on npower. Scottish is cheapest for elec. If i move to SP, i would lose another 165 per year, new charges for me for the fixed tarriff gas being

Unit price 0-4572 kWh p per kWh 4.331 Unit price over 4572 kWh p per kWh 2.883
currently its 3.883, 0-1163 kWh and 2.883kWh afterward.

Npower its 5p for 0-4752kWh and 2p over that, we use alot of gas so very confused at the moment. We use about 40,000kWh gas a year, should i go to the SP fixed tarriff?

We currently have gas with Ebico for Gas and British Gas for electricity (Click 4) and a few days back received our £40 cash-back from QuidCo - The reason for separate gas and electricity was it worked out cheaper for us.

Now that the £40 has cleared, we have today actioned a switch to Scottish Power Fixed 'til 28 Feb 2011. OK it is a few £ more than what we are paying BGas for electricity, but only fractionally more, hardly anything, plus we'll get £32 cash-back for switching electric only to them and then there's the chance the prices will go up by 2011 so we'll have saved there.

Won't be switching the gas as it is too much of a difference to take the hit now. With electricity you have to use it day in day out. With the gas, you can switch the heating off and only use a little when cooking, just heat up hot water when needed, so that will stay with Ebico for now. (Maybe a wrong choice, but like anything it's all a gamble - our gamble back at the beginning of 2005 with EDF (SWEB) paid off, hopefully this will too.

You can't switch the fridge off or freezer off for example, you need lighting and use of a PC and TV, so electricity for us is the important one to get fixed.

I thought you had to take dual energy to get the fixed price deal.

to find you MPAN it is the first two numbers in the group of box's on the front of you bill.

I don't seem to have any boxes like that on my Atlantic bill. But I do have a set of numbers on a letter they sent me. The top left number is 01 and the bottom left number is 14. I'm in the West Midlands. Could anyone help me work the figures out so I can decide if it might be worth my while to swap to Scottish Power?

    Annual usage:
    Gas units used 15892
    Electricity used 3941

Currently on Atlantic Domestic Standard No Standing Charge On-Line tariff.

    Thanks for any help.

You are only allowed to use Quidco for yourself, if they find out you are using it for other peoples cashback they could close your account and you will loose all your money you have in there,.
