    They most probably don't do an offline card then as mine is 4659 contactless with a 1.5k overdraft.

    My Premier Debit has a BIN of 453978 and I know that works on the trains

    I only just bought a compact leather wallet (Amazon, £3.89p) with space for up to 6 cards and a note compartment. So more cards have been sent to the stack secured by a rubber band. In my wallet right now: Co-operative membership card, smile debit card, Boots advantage card, Aqua advance credit card and two £10 notes. Not a lot but all I really need in there.

    Recently purchased a new wallet (from Next). Don't hugely recommend as it's a struggle to get the cards in and out, the pockets aren't quite big enough.

    However, It's changed what I carry;

    Natwest Debit Card
    Driving Licence (sadly provisional!)

    Capital One Classic Visa (£0/£800) - Recently raised from £500
    Natwest YourPoints Card (£0/£2000) - Received it last week

    Behind the driving licence, is my first ever CC - Barclaycard Initial (£400/£800).
    And my National Insurance card.

    All the shrapnel was added to my change jar earlier, think theres about £30 in there now.

    I've never understood why people carry this around - what useful purpose could it possibly serve, other than to a potential identity thief who nicked your wallet?

    They are so useless the DWP don't even bother issuing them anymore. 16 year olds and new immigrants get a letter with the number on instead.

    I don't think that's correct as this one is a replacement for my last one with the same design on it and I wasn't charged £5 for it.

    If I want to change the design on the card then yes I have to pay £5 for them to change the picture on it.

    From their terms:

    3. Fees
    3.1 We will charge you the Fee of £5 in the following circumstances:
    (i) each time you change the Image on your Halifax Photocard;
    (ii) at renewal of your Halifax Photocard (that is when your Halifax Photocard is at the end date, normally three years from the date of issue). We will write to you before the renewal date to allow you to change the image on your replacement Halifax Photocard, or to opt-out and receive a free standard, non-personalised card. If you do not respond within the time scales set out in our letter we will issue a replacement Halifax Photocard with the same image as your existing Halifax Photocard;
    If we need to send you a new Halifax Photocard, for example, to include a new security feature, we will not charge the Fee. Additionally, we will not charge you the Fee for replacement Halifax Photocards where your Halifax Photocard has been lost, stolen or damaged, where you change your name or where you upgrade your account with us.

    Its all well and good quoting this, I still haven't been charged £5 for my replacement expired card!!! Perhaps the fact it has contactless on it negates the £5 charge!!!
