A real quickie, and very tasty, make up a mixture of breadcrumbs and sage and onion stuffing mix to your own preferred strength and then press the loin steaks into this firmly and coat as much as possible. The cook in the oven until cooked through (turning once) and the coating is crispy.

I'm much lazier than everyone else on this thread!
You can do this with pork chops or pork steaks or whatever...
Brown the pork in one skillet or frying pan, while it's cooking, slice two onions and about 1/2lb of mushrooms.
In a separate pan, melt about 1oz butter and cook the onions and mushrooms in this until they are soft and the onion is golden.
Pour in about 8fl oz cream or creme fraiche, add a good pinch of dried herbs and some seasoning, stir well and bring just to boiling point.
Pour sauce over pork in the other pan, and keep on low heat for 5 minutes just so they can get acquainted a bit.
Serve with plain boiled potatoes/rice/whatever you've got.

Occasionally I add a spoonful of French mustard or a splash of white wine to this, but it's fine whichever way.

    Hi kazipoo,

There's a recent thread with lots more ideas for using pork steaks that should help, so I've added your thread to it to keep the replies together.

I have some pork cubes and some gravy left over from a stew. I want to make a pie, how should I cook the pork and for how long? It's for tonight's tea so don't suggest a slow cooker or I will be forced to cry! I will be home from about 4pm.

I must confess i`ve never made a pie from leftover pork so i`m not really able to help.

If i have left over pork i slice it thinly and marinade it in tomato sauce, mustard, honey and worcester sauce for an hour or so then stirfry it with onions peppers and any bits left over in the fridge. Add a little veggie stock (from a cube maybe) to make the sauce go further then serve on a bed of noodles.

Quick easy cheap and very tasty.

Thought that another dish may help in case you don`t find out the info for the pie.

I take it the pork and gravey are cooked? you could put mashed potatoe on the top and make that sort of pie and serve with a few vegetables.

You could also put it in a dish with a pastry top although most pastry pies are with beef or chicken.

The pork is raw (casualty of changing my freezer over for a new one). Gravy is lovely made from various stews.

Oh, then I would make a sweet and sour pork served with rice.
