Are you sure it's not just a repeating timer rather than Series link. Even Channel 5 admit they don't broadcast the data

I bought the same Humax PVR around Christmas, believing that it would be able to do series-links, such as recording all episodes of a show with one click.
When I first got my PVR, I got this option when I pressed 'OK' on a recording, as the manual describes, but the option disappeared the very next day. Some programmes are darker than others, which should be the series-link compatible ones, but this simply doesn't work.
I've never updated my firmware, but I feel I should, especially since I'm not getting all of the series-link features, which I should get. How do I do this please, because the manual is very vague in this area?
Thanks,

It calls it a series link and while people were having problems with the CH5 link on Sky+ for IPTW I didn't have any bother

Hi,
Many thanks for your replies.
I am buying the Humax.

Only issue I have is since the clocks when forward sometimes a recording would take place. I reset the settings and now seems fine, I have had this problem before too
Only other problem and I dont think its down to Humax as series link doesn't work on channel 5, I think thats down to channel 5 though
I thought I'd check the OTA schedule before digging out the serial cable and hauling the Humax upstairs to the PC and, lo and behold, Humax repeat the update for a week, starting today. So, I went download the update, only to discover that it auto-updated in December and I hadn't noticed. :doh:There's love in this world for everyone. Every rascal and son of a gun.

I think the last update was in Late Jan or early Feb0

My firmware reports V21 (which is the same as this weeks OTA, so I assume it's the latest), updated on 27 December 2007.There's love in this world for everyone. Every rascal and son of a gun.
