The Next Big Thing will always be just around the corner. So get the £130 refurb direct from Humax and enjoy some TV instead.
But it's not far around the corner and my present equipment works just fine! Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0 -
Also it can record two channels and in some cases you can watch a 3rd depending on which channel due to teh way Freeview channels are set up ie several channels are allocated a mux so if two channels are being recorded you can see another if its on the same mux0

Only issue I have is since the clocks when forward sometimes a recording would take place. I reset the settings and now seems fine, I have had this problem before too
Only other problem and I dont think its down to Humax as series link doesn't work on channel 5, I think thats down to channel 5 thoughMust get round to downloading the firmware update. Is it stable? Any issues?0 -

I don't know but if I buy any new equipment, it seems a bit late to buy old technology! I already have three videos and a PVR on the PC so no need to jump just yet. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0 -

Well they'd better get a move on in bringing out HD capable boxes if they're starting transmitting in 18 months or so."She is quite the oddball. Did you notice how she didn't even get excited when she saw this original ZX-81?"

I'm sure that I read recently that it's sooner than that for some regions but as usual I can't find it at the moment!

I think I read the first region will be Granada and will implement it with the digital switchover.

And our switchover (I'm in Granada region) takes place in 2nd half of 2009 I believe but I don't think there are specific dates yet."She is quite the oddball. Did you notice how she didn't even get excited when she saw this original ZX-81?"

Maybe its just a local thing. When I go on the EPG on channel 5 it doesnt change colour for the series option but most of the others do, well ITV, C4, BBC 1 and 2 do which are the popular ones I use0
