i am a new money saver, MY QUESTION reagarding FREEVEIW BOXES is

As I have a SKY BOX [satelite] and AM ABOUT TO UNSUBCRIBE,

WILL THE SKY box sill work for the freeveiw chanels
and what happens when the sky swipe card becomes out of date

ALSO if it works can i use top up TV

Thanks moonie. dose this meen ther may be a market for unwanted sky boxes. (the boxes not used by sky plus customers.)

If you un-subscribe from Sky the card will continue to work on all 8 BBC channels (they are free anyway) ITV1,ITV2,ITV3,Chanel4,Five, and all the rest of the free chanels................... ::)

I have just cancelled my ntl service and was looking into freeview. I tried the link which mentioned using the old cable line but it doesn't work. Can anyone explain it again please? Also, I still seem to be receiving terrestrial channels but assume ntl will collect the box at some stage, although they said nothing about it when I cancelled. Does anyone know if this is what happens as Sky customers seem to get to keep the box but I've otherwise with ntl? Thanks

its relly anoying when youve got a ordianry freeview ox not tutv and all the tutv channes come up when u retune the digibox to get channes such as itv 3

I got a new Digifusion FRT100 from a stall in Leeds indoor market for £30 with full 12 months warranty. It has 2 scarts, phono audio-outs and an RS232 port. It has UHF loop through but *no* RF modulator and no RGB-out just composite. It includes the 7 day EPG. AFAIK the FRT101 supesedes it, but only differs in having a 30 second instant replay. The picture is softer and colours less vibrant than my Pioneer 'ON' box.

I'd like my next box to have an RF modulator to feed my existing in-house UHF distribution and also RGB or S-Video out.

Nicmk65 - chop the plug off the end of the cable from the NTL box, fit a normal aerial plug and plug it into the back of your TV/video etc. Scan for channels on your TV and store them. Hey Presto!

I don't know if anyone has asked this before, but I have an old sky box, but no dish installed.

Can I use the sky box to get the freeview channels? ???
