Everyone is down south it seems in this thread! :(

Hi, can another northener join this thread?

I really struggle to get out a the minute, I'm working every hour possible (own business) and my only day off is a Wednesday, except I'm working today :( I'm newly single and need to get out more but am quite shy until I get to know people - looked at plentyoffish but chickened out joining!

    Hello Alibi *waves*

We need more fellow Northerners here I think.
Look on the positive side with the business. Eventually all the hard work pays off and you get to be the next Sir Alan or whoever!
    Welcome to the thread.

    Hello fellow northerner Alibi.
Your working week sounds very hectic, but at least you are your own boss! :)

No one with any big plans tonight I'm guessing.:p

I was thinking about joining a walking/ rambling group maybe to meet people (except I'm not particularly fit and healthy.)

I was thinking of joining a pilates class but I'm worried that someone may have to untangle me or call the OH to pick me up as I've done myself a major injury!

I was going on a date but he's busy with work so we postponed to weekend!

The walking sounds like a good idea- there are a few aimed at people in their t&ts but I can't remember how I found them...I'll check my bookmarks!

Turns out I must have googled rambling clubs!

    Go for it!

I'm sure you would be able to start on easy (ier) walks .... and there's always the social side to it while you recover....

    What does that mean?
Oooh a date tell us more.;)

Sophie - I was going to go to pilates as well but I keep thinking everyone will be really flexible and the teacher will make me sit at the front of the class and everyone will snigger at me.:o

I love Pilates- one of the safest classes you can do and great for the abs and back. I've always found them to be friendly too
