At my gym they have pilates and there is a huge waiting list, all the other classes you can get on when you want.

One suspects there may be attractive ladies.

Oooh a date tell us more.;)

Sophie - I was going to go to pilates as well but I keep thinking everyone will be really flexible and the teacher will make me sit at the front of the class and everyone will snigger at me.:o

(I'm looking now at walking groups Jen.)

Date is someone I've met from internet dating and is very early stages!

Pilates usually has a mix of people at different levels- lots of people are flexible in some ways and not others. I'm generally quite flexible but have the classes tightest hamstrings!!

Added a rambling club link on edited post ^^

I just have this fear of toppling over and everyone staring while I slink out!! I'm a nightmare at the gym, I have fallen off the treadmill. Was too busy watching diagnosis murder on the stepmaster, I stepped right off onto my backside!

I found a group in my area and they have a walk this Saturday. I don't want to sound ageist (sp) but do you think the people on these types of walks would tend to be older?:o

You were that enthralled by Diagnosis Murder? :rotfl:

(Riq - you should sign up for a pilates class and then maybe you will meet an attractive lady and you could ask her if she wants to go for a fruit juice with you afterwards (or whatever healthy ppl drink.)

Quite often yes but there are some twenties and thirties groups I found (T&T!). Try googling single rambling and twenties/ thirties in various combinations as I can't find the bookmark at the moment!!

Sophie- sorry but that made me giggle! Have you tried fitball? Nightmare!!

Sometimes it can be quite thrilling!!!! :rotfl: Wheatgrass shots are v popular at my gym. It is v fancy, most expensive in London but free through work! :D As if you would pay a couple of hundred pound a month to sweat and generally look you are having the worse time ever!

Wheatgrass, that stuff looks very weird.

    (I'm laughing at the idea of a "moderate" 13 mile walk. )
