excellent tip about the parcel bags
why didn't i think of that? thank you0 -
Ok, this might sound really stupid to some of you, but does anyone else save their butter wrappers?
They do come in very useful you know, lining cake tins, putting over a bird to stop it burning, greasing baking sheets etc"An Ye Harm None, Do What Ye Will"

No, but my mum does. I'm trying to resist saving them, otherwise I'll know that her genes are far too strong!Sealed Pot Challenge #021 #8 975.71 #9 £881.44 #10 £961.13 #11 £782.13 #12 £741.83 #13 £2135.22 #14 £895.53 #15 £1240.40 #16 £1805.87 #17 £1820.01 declared0 -

My husband is a hoarder extrodinaire, anything, he even goes hunting in skips for stuff other people have thrown out, it drives me mad, we had to move to a house with a garage and attic to store some of the blooming stuff....... I recently came across scrapbooks full of cuttings from god knows when, nothing important, but he would not let me throw them out............conversley I am the opposite, I throw out anything and everything, or recycle it, although I must admit I do hoard scrap bits from my quilting... but thats all.

Thanks C_Q
That clear out gave me the impetus I needed .... I've now regained my 2nd bedroom, so guests can stay (the ironing's been put in more new storage boxes), but if I can live with it, so can they
Plates/pots/pans etc didn't even make it to the tip or charity shop. A young lad that works for us has just got his 1st flat and only had one plate - result!
Paperworks' just about up to scratch too - 75% of it was bumph lol.
It's been just the tonic I needed. Hopefully, I'll regain my 3rd bedroom soon - that's mainly full of presents waiting to be given away for Christmas, but I think I'm a bit like elisebutt65, enough presents to last a few years lol. But I baggsied a few for myself - for being a good 'declutterer'
Only need to empty the two offices at work now - and the boxes there have been there for 3 years, so I'm hoping husband 'loses' a box or two as he's decluttering at work too! Seriously, I'm dreading that part, because I know the 'priceless' things are stored there, we just got the boxes mixed up when we movedand somewhere amongst the 100's of boxes are the sentimental things that I'd never throw away.
If it's any consolation/help, I offered loads of stuff to my daughter (and friends when they went to uni/rented flats/bought houses. They just didn't want it (unless it was a colour tv or two lol), but good luck with your sons
And good luck with the eBaying. Might start selling stuff myself soon, instead of buying
P.S. I'm lost in all this space lol. Just need someone to help with the ironing. I wonder if they'll do it in exchange for a few ornaments?0 -

Have you seen the fold your shirt thread. The vid was too quick for me so there is this one here that is slightly slower, you'll be able to fold your shirts after you've ironed them in seconds.
