All this decluttering must be something to do with the time of year - last night I sat a put just about every cut-out recipe I had in the recycling box :D Ebay items are listed, more will be done once this lot is out the way (2 items selling so far...) but the most important thing is I am finally trying to sell DD's cot, highchair, buggy, carrier and pram (with all the accessories!) which she hasn't used since she was about 2 years old - she's now 4 and starts school tomorrow! :o:eek:

Behind that little cute face lurks huge sharp gnashers though, I recall one of them biting me when I was little, vicious little b*****s they can be when they want to be.

We've found out we've got to move and we're going from a 3 bedroomed 'student' house to a 2 bedroomed flat in a hurry - trouble is fiance is a classic hoarder - inlaws2b house explains the reason why! We've both been bringing stuff up from our parents houses whilst we've been at Uni and now we've got a bit too much stuff - trouble is motivating ourselves to reduce the clutter.

I've taken a whole car boot full of paper to the recycling bins and they'll be about 4 sacks of utter rubbish going out tonight - plenty more recycling to take to the tip this week and then we're trying to work out if we've got enough stuff to do a car boot next sunday too.

It's certainly a great way to have a good clear out - find out you need to move house and have to do it in a few weeks

  • My worst havbit is the Xmas drawer. I used to use just one of the 4 divan drawers under my bed, now it's all 4.

I keep buying stuff in the sales, bargains from Boots + all the other stuff that crops up on the Grabbit threads, for POresents and to save myself time at Xmas and B/days.

Only problem is I now have enough stuff for the next 3 years!!!! :D

  • Well I try to keep a system for my junk( not sure it works tho) If I havent used it in 2 years then get rid of it! My fave has to be bubblewrap and for anyone who wants some-get it free in tesco on the fruit display! When I get my fruit I always manage to "find a couple of pieces" they only bin it so I wrap my fruit in it. Jiffy bags used to be my weakness-I just couldnt part with them. Long life carriers also, but I used those up now on ebay, as parcel bags-not bad for 10p each.Oddments of wool and sewing stuff also-until I had a sort out and donated it to the school. I used to go to a local scrapstore with the PTA-oh dear-half of it I ended up buying for myself!
