Well Elantan tomorrow I'll be doing about 300 miles in a day so I'll be very careful! The stop start thing's not usually too bad for me but tomorrow I've got to hit Raith interchange at peak time so it will be horrible and there are still loads of road works down our way too. I was just over 50mpg last time but could do better.
Plan seems to becoming along nicely, how about some oils or scented candles to help soothe folks? maybe yankee candles could be tax deductable...
I fancy the NLP stuff too, is it a part time course?

One tip for setting up a business like this is "don't get sucked in".....by that I mean it is easy to go "ooh, that book is what I need" or "ooh, some more scented thingies" or whatever, and then you find that you have spent far more than you have earned. Your main asset - and what will make you a success, is YOU. So as long as you train properly, you can be successful without huge overheads. But if you get sucked in to buying fancy advertising in newspapers, or too many interesting books that you find will only give you conflicting views on therapy, you could end up with a big deficit rather than a nice profit.

    Hiya El

Did we ever get to hear about your son and his Uni place?

Good luck re the business - ps I can't stand scented candles and I don't think I am the only one. It would really put me off - and I've seen the cost of the Yankee ones. IKEA do a tray of scented tealights for I think £1 which is a lot cheaper!

The walk - I ahev had an email back from my friend. She did lands End to JOhn O'groats but by bicycle and it was for friends of the earth. She said they had two rest days and they needed them (so you will need to build in rest days near DFws with big houses or with camper vans! - Hello Snaggles) and that they did 30/50 miles a day. I still think walking 25 miles a day every day is too much. It may be worthwhile googling as I am sure other folk have done it and they will have blogs....

right i have loads to reply to so please bare with me

skint the raith is a totally night mare just pop on up to mine i'm not far from there that's where two of our accidents happened so watch yourself the N.L.P course is part time if you want more info p.m let me know i will give you all i have very interesting

bob i think i have seen the adverts you are talking about wil give them my attention next time funny how you just click out of these things isnt it ...i think mr b will be think you are keeping a wee eye on him though...i know mr el does (yes i keep an eye on him and his diesel consumption)

hypno i totally agree with you that i am my best asset i think once i have got things up and running i will be ok just now with this course they ask you to get books i have been reading some of them and found them very interesting they will go back onto amazon when i am done ...i did get one from the library though so free there ..but thanks for the warning i think it is too easy to happen to become susceptible especially if you dont know all the inns and outs

peb son well where do i begin there well i kept asking him and asking him but he was very dismissive of me so i was just getting myself more and more agitated with him so i stopped asking ..eventually he phoned me at the end of last week and said that the uni has emailed the school so i said are you going to phone the school then and find out when they will reply? he said will do but didnt ...but last night (i think his dad got on to him) he phoned again and said he got through to the school and the teacher has said he has replied so he will phone the uni at the end of the week to see what the letter says he feels he wont get it and i can say i agree with him he has brought all these problems onto himself so he has to now live with his behaviours his attitude was bang out of order last year and i think that will be coming back to bite him on the a$$

i tried googling the john 0 groats to lands end and i got some info but not an awful lot i will have to spend more time on it soon infact i am off next week and the way things are looking we aint gonna get away we have very little money so it would have to be camoing and the weather just aint good for camping is it so i might do some research next week instead ...you thought any more about it peb?

I think it is too much - I'd love to join you in a stage or two but although the idea of giveing up work is good I would then have to get a new job. Also although I am gradually getting a lot fitter the mileage per day you are looking at scares me stiff!

I don't know how Scottish education works but should your son be looking at clearing - silly question I know as he isn't communicating with you!
  • Wow that is some reply El, i will also look into it all next week.
As regarding your table..our NETTO had one in a few weeks ago, can you believe that..so i wonder if you get those little inserts in the free paper telling you about them?
Just another option for you..also had a thought about beauty schools who may be upgrading and getting rid of stuff..you never know!
