it is deff a quandry to be honest i really fancy the full thing in the one go sort of a personal accomplishment but three months is a long time isnt it ....

Part of it depends on the terrain I think.

I was looking on that site and he did 11.5 miles over part of the pennine way in bad weather - well I'd done that part of the walk and the weather was ok so for the 8 miles I did we needed less than 3 hours -but beyond where I went it seems to have been boggy and horrible. Plus he walked by himself which seems to be a bit depressing.

If you don't do it in one stage then it would be difficult to get a month off work every year in one block I'd have thought. Any other way would take too long. I think it is either go for it and allow at least three months or look at a smaller challenge (such as hte coast to coast) with maybe a view to doing this a couple of years later.

hey everyone i'm back ..had a fantastice few days at bath we planned on going to salisbury and stone henge but landed up in bath we did wells cathedral wookie hole and the roman baths on the monday and on the tuesday we did avebury stone circle and stone henge and drove through cheddar grove on the way home ...we went to visit my angel who is as lovely as i knew she would be and then we popped on over to bobs before heading home had an amazing time and really enjoyed ourselves ...

peb i think you might be right it will be harder to get employers to give us a month every year we arnt planning on this till till 2012 so hopefully we should have plenty of time to sort everything out ...

dont know much about dampness as im sure you will have gathered lol ....but mr el thinks it could be just that the wall paper needs taking down and the room plastered:confused::confused::confused: it only really started after nephew moved out but it seems to have gotten worse when we arrived home today the smell was really bad i think we will need to get a dehumidifier

ok since i have last been on here what's been happening ...well hubby went back to the dr's and basically had a break down his blood pressure was 200/100 which i'm sure you are aware is quite high so dr has given him a two week line and basically told him he shouldnt've went back to work when he did (which i knew and so did hubby after his first shift) but hubby is now worrying about his job so is thinking of going back to work tomorrow but ihave explained to him it is illegal for him if he goes back due to insurance etc ...so i am trying to keep him busy but not too busy if you know what i mean ....

today we are going to attempt to buy a dehumidifier i hope that will solve the bedroom problem not sure though

right the jogle or lejog (but i think we are settled on jogle) thanks to ellidee sending me a link which i read and really enjoyed it seems jogle can be done in 9 days biking 12 days running (that's one fit person) so i think it shouldnt take the three months to walk it it should be alot faster but i was thinking knowing that alot of people are having the time off issue with work (i havnt even asked yet i am just assuming lol ) how about a cycle? i'm still personally thinking a walk with various msers joining in as and when they can but all suggestions welcome and majority can decide
