    Hi El

That sounds like a serious health issue for Mr El - I hope its working out okay keeping him a bit busy.... *and* you have dampness! I must say, all this structural/upkeep work has come as a shock to me, I've never owned a house where I've had to do it before, which is why I've let it go, I just didn't realise the consequences of not doing it.

The jogle sounds great - I haven't followed it up yet, but I can see it would be a lovely time together, and maybe not too expensive in terms of time off work after all.

I hope the rest of the day goes okay.

well what an eventful day i have had ...mr el decided as he has been sober for 28 days that he was having a drink today so he drank the equivilent of 12 units of alcohol in quick succession ...now he had been trying to get me into a fight since oh i would say yesterday everything i said it was your just saying that because i want a drink etc etc ...then today he started talking down to me and i wont accept that from anyone so i told him i would speak to him when he is sober (this was after we had a blazing row and he got out the car and i had went and searched for him ) then we went round asda and he wanted to make up i said i really aint in the mood but he insisted on giving me a kiss so i kissed him back then he tried to get all cuddly with me and i shrugged him off he burst into tears in asda he walked out then outside he said he wants to finish with me he doesnt want to be with me anymore so that is the current state of play think i will be online for a while trying to let things sit in my head

    blimey, el.

First of all - remember that after 28 days, the drink will be affecting him differently than it would have done before, so it will be throwing him out of balance.

Having blood pressure up that high is already putting him well out of balance so he probably has absolutely no idea within himself whether he is coming or going - some things working too fast, others not knowing where they should be heading etc.

So, hard though it is, and angry though you must be.......you have to let him have his space for the moment. Once he calms down and the drink is not talking, you can both talk, and both listen.

Until then, it is the dodgy hugs for you :grouphug:

Can you take yourself out for a walk to clear your own head or something?

Hope he falls asleep soon then! Asda on a sunday after drinking would probably make me cry too though - it makes my head feel funny at the best of times, think it's the lighting.

Seriously though, he's obviously stressed out over the blood pressure and worrying about missing work so it probably all had to come out in some way. Hopefully he'll feel a bit more positive tomorrow.
