Warning Fake Ugg Boots!!!!
Comments
-
My comment was in relation to products sold as "Uggs" and are clearly counterfeit.
I appreciate that, and I understand the sentiment. I was merely pointing out that Original Uggs are made in China too, and so not necessarily made in a more ethical way than fakes (Nike for example were well known for unethical manufacturing for a time).0 -
ive just bought a pair of Uggs using totougg.com which is an Australian website which passes their orders to China. I spoke to a lady in Parcelforce who advised when they get to customs ther checked as to whether they are fakes or not. I got a card of authenticity with them and ther fab only cost me £48 in the sale they had on.0

LOL
I'm sure customes check every single parcel that enters the country for authenticity. Of course, there is no way a card of authenticity can be faked, no siree.0 -

£48 for Uggs = FAKES.
Customs don't check things for authenticity, you've been scammed. You will also likely get a customs / Parcelforce bill, just to add insult to this.0 -

Hey, I got this fantastic Rolex watch for only 6 euros from a guy on a beach in Greece.
And I know its genuine, because he told me it was.The bankers stole my pension (and everyone else's). It should have earned a lot of money, but they took their bonus pot first.0 -

OK on the strength of posts above by WaveyDave and LotusFlower, I'm prepared to enter the lion's den and (try to) persuade daughter to accept EMUs instead.
Now, how do I find genuine EMUs that are not sold from a garden shed in China with a website which makes Harrods look a poor relation?
AAAaaarrrrrgggggghhhhh!!!!
Look, now you've got me talkin' all pirate. The bankers stole my pension (and everyone else's). It should have earned a lot of money, but they took their bonus pot first.0 -
Hey everyone.
Another site to avoid is w w w. p i c k d v d m o v i e . com (without the spaces obviously as a new user I cant post the link). The origional link it has is UK Ugg boots on sale, and the website looks very authentic with UK-Ugg boots on display on every page. All the pictures on the web site are of guenuine boots and when you order is placved you get a tracking number. There is even a page dedicated to the aftercare of you boots.
However, after doing my research AFTER I had purchased the boots I am now extremely sceptical that they are guenuine. Alarm started ringing when I saw they were coming from china. I have emailed the company and had no reply. As im still waiting for delivary, according to the tracking number they are at the delivary depot now so should recieve them in the next couple of days, theres not much I can do. Once i recieve them and establish that they are fake, then i will send the details to trading standards here and in australia. I paid for the boots by credit card so although i doubt they can do anything its one option I will look at.
Bah i feel so dumb as normally im good with spotting somthing dodgey. But you live and learn I suppose and will have to save and get the guenuines from a proper store
