Do not order from www.uggstop.com the boots are cheap nasty fakes! unwearable! I paid £72 and thought I was getting a bargain. The site looks genuine, the boots in the pictures look lovely. What a shock when they arrived, the customs sticker on the parcel said the value of the contents was $5!!!!!!!! what a bloody cheek!
be warned and steer clear at all costs!
Thanks for the warning it is hard to get a good bargin these days and a good quality ugg i have just purchased a pair from www.uggsworld.com.au and they are great really nice sheeepskin and they are australian made not deckers have a nice day:)0 -
I was recently in Australia and was looking for stuff to buy for my kids. I though I'd buy some ugg boots from a market which is supposedly well governed from counterfeits. However, all the stands selling them claimed to be originals but they all had different soles, different UGG logos on the back... That old adage kept popping in my head - too good to be true! I decided not to buy them in the end..
From your point of view, the customs value is usually kept low to avoid you having to pay tax on the goods.. If they didn't put a value, they product would be inspected. If they put the true value, you would end up paying more in duty I'd suspect. Sorry for your loss of money - it bites!

Australia is were UGGS originated from so naturally they would be cheaper the name UGG AUSTRALIA is just a name that an american company DECKERS stole from australia they are made cheap in mass quantitys in china and cost a fortune if you want a good quality ugg boot that does not cost a fortune you will only find them in australia and the reason that there were many different types of names is because they are from lots of different independent 100% sheepskin made in australia boots and we do not have fakes the only fakes are made of synthetic and are a cheaper imitation version and is written clearly on the tag that they are not sheepskin but synthetic hope this has been some help in deciding what a fake is as australia has no fakes we just dont sell the american ones there are a rew websites i know of that sell real australian made uggs and ship OS www.uggsworld.com.au these guys have a lot of boots and are cheap to0 -

:embarasse lol - just bought from https://www.uggonline-uk.com - although the guy has replied to my e-mails, I get the feeling from reading various posts, I won't be getting a decent pair of UGG's! I bought through PayPal - is there not some safety net for poor quality boots? Also, if anyone did buy from this site - how long did delivery take roughly?!
Thanks0 -
The following sites all sell counterfeit UGG boots
bootsabc.com
uggbootsale.co.uk
uggbootsshoes.com
ugg-euro.com
uggboots-uk.com
There are countless others out there. If you purchase from these websites you will be buying products which will likely have a synthetic smell, will be poorly constructed, and will quickly fall apart. You will also be assisting in the trade of counterfeit goods, which is something everyone should avoid. The people who operate these websites are criminals who know exactly what they are doing and will not hesitate to take money off innocent and often unwitting customers.
If you want genuine UGG boots either go to the official www.uggaustralia.com website, or to the website of an authorised UK retailer, such as Kurt Geiger or Shoodoo.0 -
I thought UGG was a style of boot, not a brand?? Therefore UGG boots can be sold by many different companies.
UGG USED to be a style of shoe. but then Deckers bought the company 'Ugg Australia' and they had the word UGG copywrited... so then, all the other companies that had the word UGG in the title had to get the name changed, so in other words.... no companies are allowed to call their boots UGG boots, apart from UGG Australia... any that do are breaking the law. The word ugg is avery old Australian word, simply meaning sheepskin boot.I:coffee:
