I get you. The $5 thing is irrelevant although probably nearer the price by the sounds of it. The price is put down to save duty costs and quite a few companies do it. The fact it's not sheepskin is the problem. Try http://www.accc.gov.au/content/index.phtml/itemId/815311 it's the australian trading standard's things. They might not get your money back but it will stop other people getting caught out.

Think this is the bit you want http://www.accc.gov.au/content/index.phtml/itemId/268478

I am NOT stupid!!! I know what the site says! It seems the mojority of you are missing my point? These boots are not made from 100% sheepskin! they are certainly NOT best quality! I know that UGG actually means "sheep skin" and that UGG is used as a designer name. BUT as I said.... if you saw these boots you would not pay £5 for them never mind £72!!!!! they are cheap nylon NOT sheepskin, the stitching is all over the place, the sole is plastic, cracked and bent rendering them unwearable. I take the point of them being marked down in value on the customs label to save cost BUT I can assure you all these boots are probably not worth more than 5$.
I never said I thought I was getting "UGG" boots??? I did think I was buying 100% top quality sheepskin boots!

Mrs E....How can you say "they are all genuine uggs"??? as I have said UGG means sheepskin......sheepskin is sheepskin and fake is FAKE!!!!!

    You got issues:rolleyes:

Its Ok you saying please dont reply like this, I didnt come on here for help, Ive put it down to experience. I came on here to try to help people and stop them making the same mistake as me. but all people have done is quoted the web site as though I am stupid, and laughed at me "lol lol lol lol owned" so please dont patronise me. I know when someone is trying to help and when they are not.

Thankyou for your comments but as I paid with a direct debit card I havnt got much chance of getting my money back. I have written to the Trading standards here and in Australia and also the ASA.

What did you think " We are not affiliated with 'UGG Australia' and do not sell their products" means?

& agree with post above, they marked the value down to save you customs taxes.

They are all genuine "uggs", but they are not genuine "uGg Australia" as worn by Pammy & Colleen, ect..

Ugg means a certain type of boot made of sheepskin first made in Australia. Ugg DOES NOT mean anything else.

You did NOT say they were made of nylon & not sheepskin, what you said was

Do not order from www.uggstop.com the boots are cheap nasty fakes! unwearable! I paid £72 and thought I was getting a bargain. The site looks genuine, the boots in the pictures look lovely. What a shock when they arrived, the customs sticker on the parcel said the value of the contents was $5!!!!!!!! what a bloody cheek!
be warned and steer clear at all costs!.

You made it sound as if you expect a pair of WAG style uGgs Australia, after the website expressly says they are not uGg Australia.
Where did you suggest they are not sheepskin in the above?

I would assume that by me saying they were "cheap nasty fakes" and "unwearable" that people would know they were not sheepskin because by Fake I meant not sheepskin. NOT Fake because they are not UGG. I didnt mention them being ugg or not? and I feel the highlighted in RED was a direct indication that I had not read or understood there web site when I can assure you I have read and re read every word of their site, as I am now £72 lighter.
perhaps I could have made myself clearer but I was in a rush when I wrote the thread, at the end of the day all i wanted to do was warn other people......Dont think I'l bother in future.

Actually as they used red on their website for some of the warning about NOT being uGg Australia I thought that by keeping the red it would alert you to that statement on the front page of their web site.
