I'm going to go and shred another load of stuff. I've managed two bin bags so far. The annoying thing is the recycle van won't take it ( I guess it would just blow away) so i'll put some in the compost bin and the rest will have to go to the tip.

I would love that shredded paper for my fire! It is a waste that the recycle van won't take it. We either recycle, burn or feed waste to animals so we have half a carrier bag size amount of rubbish each week from 5 of us. We still have to use the regulation full size blue bag though.

lil_me If you are struggling to concentrate its best to make the most of the break and good weather and go back to it more refreshed.
Hello ashbart nice to see you back, if briefly. Sorry about all the stress to do with the wedding. I think I'll be like that later this year as DD is engaged.

Just passing through after posting about old cat on Pets Board. I think she is headed for the hearth rug in the sky and I am in bits - we have had her nearly 18 years (since Nov 6 1990 :o)

And DS is really suffering with teeth, and I don't know what to do with him.

OH is the one who has to run old girl back and forward from the vets (since mid Feb - the bills have been horrendous but worth it) and he is finding it stressful.

Coming up to first anniversary of MIL passing away.

    SIL visiting on Sun.

Only on the bright side - I bought some stockings on ebay, suitable for a taller curvy lady and sent OH the link to cheer him up. He was laughing his socks off - the very nice stockings were actually modelled by a man, and I hadn't realised. :o Now, I am sure the stockings will be just fine, but I really ought to take more notice of things.:o Still, it cheered up OH.

May not be posting much - but much appreciate links and lists.
    Always another chapter

    (((((((((((((((hev)))))))))))))))

I hate losing my fluffy friends.. even if they are old and/or sick..

LOL @ the stockings though.. I could do with some new ones!! lol

On that note.. Larger ladies/those with calves like.. calves!!.. (bottom of legs type not mooing).. a personal question.. how short do you wear your skirts... I resemble a rather unhairy prop forward in the leg dept.. and wear floor length clothes at ALL times.. (16 inch circ.).. and where do you buy boots from?? I can't wear any I have found so far and am loathe to resort to Evans prices.. plus they were all right frumpy this winter!

I know it's such a waste. I'm trying to think of ways to recycle it. I've put some into the pages of magazines and newspapers so that the recycling guys don't see it. I've also stuffed kitchen foil tubes with it and small boxes from groceries. :rotfl: I've managed to 'hide' a full bin bag of it.

The other thing we can't recycle here is plastic bottles. We used to have a collection point at the tip but the borough have decided it's too expensive to process. We're pretty good at recycling but with all the carp i've chucked from my house this last few weeks we are filling the wheelie bin each fortnight. My aim is to reduce it to three quarters full in May and then half full in June.

We recycle glass, tins, cardboard and paper and food scraps (not meat) go in the compost but there must be more we can do.

Half a carrier bag is fabulous. We need to get ours down further.

We fill 2 wheelies every WEEK here.. most of it is stuff I've found that is actual rubbish though.. and it has taken me a year to fill my paper recycling bin. Could you not pop it in a paper bag and sling it in the recycling? It wouldn't blow about then.

    TOMORROWS LIST IS UP..

I'm putting dinner in and going to my nest before I am REALLY ill!

    TOMORROWS !

Nope, they empty the bags into the lorry which is made of mesh so the shredded paper just comes out of the sides. They then leave the empty bags on the path and they blow everywhere. Not so clever round here i'm afraid. Hope you're feeling better soon xx:rotfl:

Pigpen. I wear them either just skimming the tope of my knees (I even take them up if needed) and a bit looser than an A-line. Or just below the knees in a floaty material.

Boots, I find next wide fitting is very good. Or Evans sale.
