House update. We offered 95k. Now the most recent sale in thats treet was 110k with brand new windows, heating, kitchen, bathroom, drive, house painted outside and immaculate inside. This one has council windows over 15yr old, a coal fire, BADLY needs decorating and a huge crack in the cielings through 2 rooms upstairs.
They said no. They want to wait and see what other offers they get. Estate agent said put a note of interest in, I said I will think about it, the house isn't worth any more with the work needing doing to it and another house in better condition is coming on the market in the next few months (I love gosspiy neighbours!) EA was a bit taken back.
So, greedy seller, they can go shove. We have been yes'ing and no'ing about the house so maybe this way is better.
Aw Tia - I'll say what everyone always say in these circumstances. 'Whats for you, will not go past you'
Greedy barstewards - will get there fingers burnt!0 -

The next week we went to look at a place and we are there nowMum has an annoying saying - What is for you won't go by you... 'tis true.
A few months ago I checked out what the other house had actually sold for :eek: turns out sealed bids acutally did the seller a lot of good... us too
It must be a Scottish saying0 -

Right, decision made - I'm taking DD to Matalan with me now (and some sweets as she's upset that her new jeans don't fit her - they're about an inch or so too long but the rest of the 8-9 pants will probably fit her and the majority of her 7-8 are too short!) and I'll get her opinion on stuff. I'll buy it, if it fits great, if it doesn't I'll take it back tomorrow for either a refund or a smaller/bigger size- at least with DD with me I have an excuse not to go trying the stuff on as I hate doing that! Going to aim for size 18 I think. Can we have some chanting of "size 18s are too big for nicki" please
:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I'm going to go and shred another load of stuff. I've managed two bin bags so far. The annoying thing is the recycle van won't take it ( I guess it would just blow away) so i'll put some in the compost bin and the rest will have to go to the tip.
Why aren't I sitting in the garden reading a book? The weather is gorgeous xx0 -
Nicki - size 18's are way to big for you...have fun in matalan xx0

Just popping in to say hi. I've lost the flylady bug right now, probably due to the pull of the garden! I'm just aiming on a bit of maintenance this week and see how I feel next week.
Happy vibes to you allThe birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
A big HELLO to everyone!!!
I've been AWOL for about 4 weeks but - I promise I've got good reasons. Yesterday was the first time I've logged in to MSE for a while and I posted today and got caught by skintscotslass...! I hope she hasn't told pigpen I'm back before I get to explain myself...
Short story - been sorting out the wedding plans and they have been very stressful. My mum came over with my auntie from the US for 2 weeks and the other two weeks consisted of sorting everything out before they arrived and now I'm trying to put it all back together. I won't be Flying this week as I'm recovering but, I promise (On my honour) I will be at least lurking and flying quietly next week.
Have missed you all and I've had sleepless nights on Operation Red Fiat. PLEASE can someone update me as it will take me forever to read through all of the posts.....!
Thanks and good to be back.Ash xx
