Surely this is relevant for 2 reasons.

    1. Because if the fuel is going to run short then you should grab it now.

And therefore causing a fuel shortage when there may not have been otherwise...

Looks as if it becoming a self fulfilling prophesy out there. Just filled up and although there was not a queue as such the cars were two deep at our 8 pump filling station when on a normal Sunday I would expect at least two free pumps at any time.

Ineos bought Grangemouth (and loads of other industrial plants) on borrowed money. Fact, a huge amount of the UK's petrol production is in the hands of the 'Northern Crock' of the petro-chemical industry.

We ought to get the refinery workers to strike over taxation on fuel, looks like there's no legal interventions designed to stop that. Although lorry drivers are supposedly terrorists or something.

Same here, my local Morrison's was queued two deep right out onto the entrance roundabout. I usually fill up on a Sunday and it's never busy.

I went for petrol today - because I needed to, my light was on. I'm not being scared mongered into anything.

It would also seem that the rest of my area feel the same - petrol stations not busy.
