hi all
A big welcome to pinkydinkydo and Lewby its great to have more people on board as there doesn't appear to be that many of us and I agree we all do need the support. I agree we should share info on things we are eating and what we are doing to exercise. I have found a few soup recipes on the money saving old style board. I always have breakfast consisting of 2 weetabix and semi skimmed milk (4points). I try and pile my plate full of veg and have ditched my big dinner plates to a much smaller one.Mortgage free 25/9/2019 8years and 7 months early 😁😁😁0 -
hi sugar
welcome aboard. well done for maintaining your weight over xmas. How much do you want to lose if you don't mind me asking. I know what you mean regarding the chocolates. I too have various boxes of chocolates that were given to me as presents. The best before dates on mine are up around may/june so I,m hoping to give some away as recycled birthday presents. The kids have a few friends whose birthdays are in march and april. At the moment I have put them upstairs in my wardrobe hoping that out of sight out of mind theory works.
Hi utpoiah, I need to lose approx 1 and 1/2 stones to be at target. I'm a size 16 but would feel a lot more confortable at a 14. I've never been a slim person and got to target before with WW and got down to a size 12. Never been that before but failed to watch what I was eating but never let it get to the original state (size 20/22) Don't want to get to that again!
Its the tins I have (these are obviously xmas stock) so would feel bad about passing it on as a present. I was thinking about taking them to my doc surgery and handing them in but would they take them? Dont want to appear a loony!

hi sugar
I've put on 1 stone since losing nearly 2 stone but this has been over a period of 2 years. You just take your eye of the ball and start sneaking in the desserts when your out or having a few more takeaways/chocolates. I am really going to try and lose it and maintain this time as do not want to be in this position again!! I'm not sure about the chocolates perhaps donate to an old peoples home/day centre or homeless centre.Perhaps you could give them to charity shop for a raffle prize not really sure just a few ideas to try.Mortgage free 25/9/2019 8years and 7 months early 😁😁😁0 -

Hello All,
I'd love to join in with this - I've lost weight before with ww - but it's all crept back on after ill health, stopping smoking and coping with kids! I've got an awful lot to lose and feel a bit low about it, all my friends are skinny and can't relate to the problems or the need for constant encouragement!0 -
hi and welcome cheapscate and naughtyneighbour
if you have alot to lose try to set targets into managable steps say 1/2 a stone at a time. It is really hard when you are surrounded by skinny friends and images of fit celebs especially this time of year when we are all guilty of over indulgence. Its difficult to stay focused with the demands of everyday life but with all our support together we can make those small losses so come on and make those changes.Mortgage free 25/9/2019 8years and 7 months early 😁😁😁0 -
Hi everyone!
there are loads more new people since I checked this last night!
Utopiah, by using my card points calculator I reckon your gym work out uses up around 7 points, I've worked it out based on 90 mins exercise at between high and moderate intensity.
I made it to the gym this morning but only stayed for half an hour and alternated between walking and running on the treadmill. It was my first time in the gym since having my baby a few months ago so I was a little wary of pushing it too far the first time! I usually stick to weetabix for breakfast as they are so simple to count the points in. I'm only just going back to work after maternity leave so to begin with i think i'm going to take asda ready meals for lunchs so i can work out the exact points.
I found the last time I stuck to it well I drank loads of water and it really did work to fill me up, I stuck a post it note on my desk and ticked off each glass as I drank it and it really encouraged me to have the 8 glasses a day instead of having coffee all afternoon!
my weigh in is Wednesday so we will see how I manage in my first week!Debts all paid!!!:j0 -
Can I join too please? Done it before, lost 3st but I got complacent so half went back on.
Have joined the meeting last week.. I have to go or I fail!!
Got 2 stone to go to the maximum healthy weight, but if I lose 1 stone 5 I'll hit my 10% goal and be at the lowest weight of my adult life (when I fitted easily into size 12 clothing) so that's my first target.
On 20 points and doing OK... I think! Weigh in on Tuesday!OU Student! - ED209, SDK125, DSE212, SK124, DSE141, SD226, DXR222, DD303, DD307 = BSc Psychology0 -
hi all and welcome littlestar
thanks needtopaymydebts I estimated my workout points to be around 6points so i wasn't to far out. i know what you mean about finding it tough when you go back to the gym I only missed it for 2 weeks and i found it really hard to get back into my routine. I only power walk on the treadmill but i do set it on quite a steep incline. I only joined 6 months ago never been an exercise person but found out that i really enjoy it. i never find it a chore to go (well not yet anyway) The water thing is a good tip I only ever drink my daily quota on exercise days at work I'm always drinking tea would be quite easy to switch to water as we have a water cooler at work. might give this ago. Well I weighed in this morning and i have lost 2lb :j Iam setting myself mini goals my first target is to reach 10st by 25th Jan (half way there) Then I will set myself another target I am aiming for 4lb every 3 weeks I think this is achievableMortgage free 25/9/2019 8years and 7 months early 😁😁😁0 -
