    in this box?

Sorry, I didn't see this post before I replied to your other one.

Yes, that looks right to me. You seem to have a newer version of Wordpress than me, or maybe it's the theme you are using.

I don't think that will make a difference, what you have done looks right to me.

Try typing some random words in the box and see if they appear in your blog.

Even though the google code disappears, the box should still appear in your blog with the title, have you checked that?

Just noticed something, you may have to click the "change" button in the bottom left of the box before clicking "Save Changes"

How much does google ads pay, is it even worth mucking around with it.

Im thinking I might have to start a HOW to BLOG thread, as this is going a bit off topic. Up your Imcome folks, is the name of the game.

Sorry Andy, you are right of course. I don't mind if you start another thread, it will benefit all to keep the two subjects separate.

As to google ads paying, that will depend on how many visitors your blog gets. If you only have one site and it doesn't get many visitors then it's probably not worth it.

I have lots of sites and put google ads on all of them. I make around $150 every two months from them, so for me it's worth adding them.

The good thing about google is once they accept you, you can put their ads on any site you build. I have the code in a text file on my computer so I don't need to go to google each time I want the code for a site.

Just a hunch, but I'll bet next months wages that wordpress don't allow ads on their hosted blogs.

You need to check that, then get some free web space that gives you at least one mysql database and doesn't put ads on your site. You also need on that doesn't delete your site if it doesn't get any visitors.

try freehostia dot com. But if you sign up remmber that the username you sign up with will become your site address.

So if you sign up with sportsoftoday as your user name, your site will be sportsoftoday.freehostia dot com

Hi Andy - somewhere from 1p to £1+ per click depending on what the subject is. So either you need lots of clicks or a high paying subject for your blog.

I am assuming you want to install wordpress, so here are the instructions.

Go to your control panel at Freehostia and look for the Elefante Free Scritps icon in the web tools section. Click that icon the find the wordpress link in the Blog section and click it.

Sorry I don't know what will happen next as I've never used it, but many have and say it is very easy.

If you want to do something else you'll have to let me know.
