For those of you with neither a PDA (personal digital assistant - or pocket pc) or SATNAV software/hardware this is a good deal - the PDA alone is useful for playing PDA and even DVD's (use converter program DVDto PocketPC from Makayama.com).
Actual package is as follows:
The new Acer N35 is a complete navigation system on the palm of your hand: Stylish, compact, powerful. The Acer n35 is based on a Pocket PC that utilises Microsoft® Windows® Mobile™ 2003 Pocket PC Premium Edition and boasts a powerful processor and integrated GPS. Simply turn the Acer n35 on, flip up the antenna, insert the 256 MB SD-Card that holds "map'n'app" and off you go.
You can even load in speed camera databases!!
The product is 5* rated by ebuyer customers who like me are demanding of their kit.

Have already submitted a post on here but still with no answer as yet!
Is there an alternitive to the TomTom Go 5? I am after a sat nav unit but i MUST be able to use my mobile through either the sat nav or possible another piece of kit?
Look forward to reviewing my options

If you sign up to Maplin's newsletter you will be emailed vouchers for £10 off £100 and £30 off £300 which you could use to further reduce the cost.
The user interface is operated by a scroll wheel rather than a touch screen. It's very small but it does have a colour screen and 3-D moving map display. It has full UK postcode support. As far as I know it doesn't have the speed camera databases that you can get for other systems.
My brother recieved his from maplins yesterday, my god its so small. It is like a tennis ball! Small screen, but you listen to it anyway. Has batteries in it to run when out of car. SO you can set it up for your route prior to going outside. He has just downloaded to it 7000+ uk speed camera listings!
If I had £200 spare I would get one now!0 -
Got my Garmin i3 on Friday from Maplin (£189.00 with the voucher!) and it is great!. Screen size is fine and is very clear. Calculating routes is quick and it recalulates when you decode to take a detour. All in all, a great bargain.0
