I have a Sony Ericsson P910i mobile phone. Does anybody know where I can get a GPS and Navigation software for this mobile phone with Symbian OS? Is it worth spending money on loading Sat Nav in this mobile or should I be investing in a stand alone system etc? Please help.0

Compared to a standalone SatNav product it will have a better screen display and user interface but possibly not as good sound (depends on what the speaker in the phone is like). Also keeping it powered can be a problem as the phone will use a lot more battery power running a SatNav program than it will being on standby waiting for a call. You will also need something to dashboard-mount the phone (maybe this is included with TomTom, I don't know).
Route66 Mobile is also available for P910 for £175, but I don't know what it's like.0 -
Anybody know if the new garmin streetpilot i3 works with UV screens or if an external aerial is available?

Makro are now doing the same set up (via michelin) for £149 +vat (£175)
I have this. Does work well and is/was probably good value for money. However, the software is not very user friendly, no post code search/find available and you can't alter the route parameters flexibly enough. For example, on holiday in Cornwall it took me to places via single track roads and it's almost impossible to force it back onto main roads only.I say what I like, I like what I say!0 -

I Know I lost mine !!!!
Christ that is a bit rich when we are encouraged to use the Maps of Europe and take the Sat Nav devices abroad and then you tell us that yours was confiscated and you had to pay a fine! now you know why I would not venture into France simply because of the French and I have had dealings with them in the past and personally I don't like them! sorry if this offends anyone but now you see why.0 -
Hi,
I have got Route 66 and a Sony Ericsson P910i....I am not overly impressed. I had a Nokia 6600 and Tom Tom before and its much better. Its just not as easy to use when driving. Tom Tom is much clearer and I havenot had any errors.
Route 66 can get confusing and I do take wrong turns with it.
Tom Tom is far quicker to recalculate if you do go the wrong way...
I will be buying Tom Tom soon instead...
Best regards
Baz

£70 for the antenna so again like the tomtom it just makes it too expensive an option !0
